At first glance, you may think this quilt is made up of two different blocks with some fancy interwoven sashing. But it’s just a 3 x 3 on-point layout with the Comet block set in every space. I alternated the original Checkerboard block with a simplified version of the block where I deleted the lines in the center square. I made an alternate block to go with the Origami Star by deleting all the lines inside the circle. The stencil was created using the StencilMaker tool on the Block Worktable (you have to choose Applique > Motif as your block style to access this tool). I used the Holliberry collection by Corey Yoder to color my quilt, which you can find in the EQ Stash Online
