In November we announced that we’ve teamed up with the Quilts of Valor Foundation® (QOVF) for a special 8-month collaboration! We’re requesting both an image of your EQ-software-QOV design and a picture of the accompanying finished Quilt of Valor®. Scroll down below to read more details about this fantastic event! Michele McCusker-Whiting A few days after we announced this amazing collaboration, we received several spectacular submissions from Michele McCusker-Whiting! Reaching out to her to check if she’d like to be the focus of a future blog post, she wasn’t sure if she was “worthy.” Indeed, she is worthy, as are all those who make quilts for this caring organization! Thankfully, she agreed to be the featured designer and we’re so happy to introduce and talk about Michele! The seeds of Michele’s story start when she was very young, and her mother taught her to sew. Her interest first turned to quilts when her mother-in-law, EQ-user Juanita Whiting

Robin Harris On this QOV National Sew Day, how special to be highlighting another designer (who I’m sure is working on a QOV as you read this)! While Robin Harris is the featured quilter, she gives equal credit to her Stars & Stripes QOV group in Florida (group #75703)! The group gets together to work on and award over 50 QOV every year! As Robin says, the group’s principle is “many hands make light work!” Robin has been quilting since the late 1980s, and after moving from New York to Florida with her husband in 2015, has been a member of the Stars & Stripes group

Two months ago we announced that we’ve teamed up with the Quilts of Valor Foundation® (QOVF) for a special 8-month collaboration! We’re requesting both an image of your EQ-software-QOV design and a photo of the accompanying finished Quilt of Valor®. Scroll down below to read more details about this fabulous event! Gina Gempesaw Reaching out to Gina, of Gem Hill Quilts, she was very excited to read about the venture between EQ and QOV! Like many of you, Gina’s “QOV quilts are inspired by family and friends who have served.” She is particularly inspired by her niece’s husband who serves in the military. Gina’s “Free As a Bird” quilt was originally seen in the March/April 2022 issue of Love of Quilting magazine. Gina used a variation of the 54-40 or Fight block. Knowing that the phrase “54-40 or fight” was used as a slogan in 1844 to rally support by then Presidential-candidate James Polk, it gives Gina

Last month we announced the exciting news that we’ve teamed up with the Quilts of Valor Foundation® (QOVF) for a special 8-month collaboration! We’re requesting both an image of your EQ-software-QOV design and a photo of the accompanying finished Quilt of Valor®. Scroll down below to read more details about this amazing event! Sharon Wasteney Soon after reaching out to Sharon Wasteney, of Something Stitched, she replied with a resounding “Count me in” to be part of this wonderful event! Following are 3 of Sharon’s Quilts of Valor. Sharon’s “Remembered” quilt was published in the July/August issue of Love of Quilting magazine. The 10 stars across the top of the quilt represent and commemorate the ten members of Sharon’s family who have served our country, both past and present. The block was identified as the Alamo block, designed by a Texas woman in the 1800s. Sharon used EQ8 to reproduce the block and then arrange

Today we are announcing the start of an 8-month collaboration with the Quilts of Valor Foundation® (QOVF), and we couldn’t be more excited! If you’ve designed a Quilt of Valor® in Electric Quilt software, we’d love to see pictures of that design and the sewn quilt! From now until July 4, 2023, we’re asking for pictures of your finished Quilt of Valor® (QOV) and an image of the accompanying design you made in EQ software to help us highlight this great organization! We want to know why you made the quilt, including if it was for a specific veteran.* If the picture of the finished QOV features the deserving veteran, that’s even better because we also want to show our appreciation to all those who have served our country! Your submission will automatically enter you to win some fabulous prizes (see Prizes below)! Quilts of Valor® If you’re not familiar with QOV, you’ve got plenty
