Have you heard about EQ Academy? EQ Academy is a 4-day workshop, hosted by The Electric Quilt Company, dedicated to learning the ins and outs of Electric Quilt 8 (EQ8) software. This fun and educational event will give you the tools you need to get the most out of your EQ8, while building lasting friendships! EQ Academy takes place in Perrysburg Ohio, just south of Toledo. Here are some FAQ (including information on location and where to stay). Classes are offered April 4-7th as full-day (6 hours) and half-day (3 hours) options. Take one, or take a lot! Her first EQ add-on includes 10 quilts that you can make just the way she has or edit just the way you would any other quilt in EQ. Karen’s second add-on is the same idea, with more beautiful quilts. Karen’s add-ons open a little differently than some of our other add-ons. First you open EQ8 or EQ7. Then click Open an existing project. Open an existing project tab will be selected. Click on the titles that start with KKS or KKS2. When you find the quilt you want, click OK. The quilt will open to your Quilt Worktable. Now you can recolor it, or edit it anyway you’d like. Every month, we send out several free project downloads to a certain group of people. Want in? Here’s what we’re sending out this month. You like? Get these project downloads! Join in on the fun with Barb Vlack and other EQ users who design quilts for Barb’s monthly challenge! If you submit a quilt that meets the guidelines, you’ll get everyone’s project files at the end! It’s called ClubEQ. What is ClubEQ? ClubEQ is a free club any EQ user can join, simply by using EQ to design a quilt. Club leader, Barb Vlack, presents monthly challenges. Those EQ users who join the challenge (and the fun) send in a project file. These projects are displayed together on the Web. Participants receive projects from all the other challenge participants that month. So send in one project file, and receive many more in return! No sewing necessary! How do you send
