Want to add new fabrics to your EQ7 Fabric Libraries? Connecting Threads makes it easy! They provide EQ-formatted fabric downloads for each of their collections. Visit Connecting Threads’ website and choose one of their fabric collections. Then click on Downloads > Electric Quilt Download on the left menu bar. After downloading and extracting the zipped file, place the FAB file in your (My) Documents\My EQ7\user folder. The new fabric collection will appear in your Fabric Library > My Library section. Go check out the beautiful fabrics and start designing with them today!
Update on Flags for Lac Mégantic

Earlier I posted a request for flags for the town of Lac Mégantic. Claire Haillot organized the project and she recently sent me an email with an update. Claire said the project was a big success with over 400 flags from all over the world. Flags were sent from all over Canada, The United States, Germany, Belgium, France, South Africa and Australia. Fiction author includes EQ in her books!

A few years ago fiction author, Lynn Thompson, wrote The Guild in the Granary. The main character, Caroline Clarkson, has a daughter named Jamie who works at The Electric Quilt! Now Lynn has written a new sequel, Timeless Star. Jamie is still working at Electric Quilt. In the series Caroline Clarkson leaves the world of bank security for what she assumes will be a tamer world of quilt fabric retailing. (Spoiler Alert: It’s not!) The books are full of quilting symposiums, quilt shop owners, stars of quilting shows…and of course quilters! If you read the books let us know what you think!

User Spotlight: Denise Russart

Denise Russart has been quilting for over 25 years. Most recently, her adorable crayon quilt is in the September/October issue of Quiltmaker! Denise also designs for EQBoutique. (She has many more designs than this! Check them out!) And, you can see some of her wonderful work in the EQ Quilt Gallery. Great job, Denise! I’m sure we’ll see much more of your fantastic work in the future!
