The Quilted in Honor fabric collection was created to benefit Operation Homefront. You can read more about the Quilted in Honor project by clicking here. Here’s a quick recap of the rules: You must design your quilt using Electric Quilt 7 (EQ7) design software. The quilt design must be colored with Quilted in Honor fabrics ONLY! (Download the fabrics here. The QIH fabrics are part of the October – July 2014 fabric library.) Three design categories to choose from: Pieced, Appliqué, or Combination (pieced + appliqué) Any size! Here’s a quick recap of the rules: You must design your block using Electric Quilt 7 (EQ7) design software. The block design must be colored with Tonga Cabana fabrics (you may add ONE solid color/fabric to the design). The block design can be pieced, appliqué, or both! Block must be at least 6” x 6”. Block designs do not need to be square. The block design can be an original drawing, or a block from the Block Library that you’ve colored your own way using the Tonga Cabana fabrics. Here is a little info about the HoopSisters Mystery Quilt: The Mystery Quilt is only available as a set in the month of June. You can purchase the Mystery Quilt and you’ll receive a new set of files each week for the next six weeks. You’ll have no idea what the final layout looks like until the final week! HoopSisters will give you Electric Quilt files in their weekly downloads so you can see more of the quilt revealed each week! You can fill out a “Be A Mystery Quilter” form to start receiving special Mystery Quilt news and offers. SewCalGal is hosting a Blog Hop! It’s kicking off her Year of Red and White Quilt Challenges. We hope to inspire you to use EQ and enter SewCalGal’s upcoming Design It! Quilt Challenge. It kicks off on February 10th and goes thru March 23rd. Designs of any size can be entered in this challenge, but they need to be your own design and have a red and white theme to them. (You do not need to use EQ to enter your design.) There is also a Make It! Challenge for those that want to make their design (or a project from any purchased design or tutorial).
