Did you know every third Saturday in March is National Quilting Day? To celebrate we’re offering a free project! It includes the same quilt colored three different ways. And of course with EQ it’s easy to recolor any way YOU want.

Some other ideas to help celebrate are finish an UFO, display a quilt outside your home, clean out your sewing room, buy some fabric or other quilting supplies, spend the day designing quilts or…quilting!
Tell us how you’re spending this National Quilting Day!

I found a few scrappy curved log cabin blocks while attempting to tidy my sewing room, so of course I grabbed my huge scrap bag, still unsorted, and went to work making more. I designed the pattern for them in EQ8.

Such inspirations! I finished a quilt top today, first in many months as we moved from a house to an RV and are travelling across Canada. Wintering on the west coast. It was a very satisfying National Quilt Day! Having these EQ blogs and articles and quilt ideas has been wonderful to see!! I used EQ to design the quilt, a Quilt of Valour (Canada). I even figured out all the foundation pieces instructions and was pleased to actually see it “live” Love EQ !

I didn’t really spend my day quilting. I made face masks for my niece, hee wedding party and the parents of the bride & groom.
It was fun coordinating her colors, using satin & laces. And of course, they all have N96 filters in the pockets.
I hope they like them

Unfortunately, I will not be at my sewing machine. I will be spending the day with my dad in his memory care facility. Y’all have fun playing with fabric, I’m jealous.

Now, Saturdays are when I work on the EQ8 Lessons and challenges offered in the newsletter. Years ago, as founder of The Power of the Quilt Project, I would host a Quilt-a-thon to make quilts for people in need of comfort.
