We just got back to Ohio from our EQ Academy in Denver, Colorado. This was our first time hosting an EQ Academy away from home (Perrysburg, Ohio) and was it ever FUN!!
…And memorable! Some of my favorite moments include the incredible views of the Rocky Mountains, the awesome computer labs (with comfy chairs!) at the Greenwood Plaza Triad, the yummy snacks in the break room, the creative row quilt Barb’s students designed together, all the blocks Kari’s students were learning to trace, quilt shop hopping, the Broncos kicking off the NFL season with a win, dining out, seeing some firemen in uniform , taking the Light Rail downtown and of course, watching what all our students were designing in EQ7!
It was so fun being able to meet so many talented quilters. Our EQ users (and teachers) are awesome!!! Pictures from the 3-day workshop are below.
Students: A BIG thank you for coming to EQ Academy and being so fun to work with! We hope you enjoyed learning your software as much as we enjoyed teaching you. Feel free to leave comments below – we’d love to hear from you! Hope to see you again at our next EQ Academy in Perrysburg, Ohio! (Enrollment begins in October.)

This was such an amazing weekend. I learned so much! Part of what I learned was just how in depth this program is. I will be taking several of the online classes as well as planning a trip out to Ohio to take another Academy. It is very apparent that this is “use it or lose it” information for me. So I plan to build on it at every opportunity. I do hope that you will continue to expand the classes to other parts of the country as well.
