One of our users, Peggi at Seamstobeyouandme.com has been busy with her EQ7. In one blog post, What was I thinking, Part 2, Peggi talks about how she made one block she really liked, then used EQ to try out different layouts for her beloved block. In another post, Using EQ7 to Make Scallops, she shows, with photos, how she used EQ7 to customize scallops exactly the way she wanted them for her quilt. Yvonne Menear  is an educator, speaker, and author. She wrote EQ with Me: Learning EQStitch and posts video lessons on youtube about it (they are great, you should be watching these!). She will answer your EQStitch questions on the EQ Forum. Yvonne has also started an EQStitch Yahoo discussion group, AND she will teach 3 hands-on classes in Houston during International Quilt Festival. (View the class listing.) WOW. Happy Father’s Day!                 This quilt uses EQ Printables to print off the photos (of course). I also added a border to allow a place for the kids (or dogs) to write messages to dad or grampa, or whoever. You can use a fabric marker or fabric paint to make the messages. I hope everyone has a nice Father’s Day!

This is a special bonus post for the EQ7 Summer Drawing Series Sew Along! For this mini lesson, we’ll explore another Pieced PatchDraw click-and-snap grid—the Eight Point Star. I’ll give you some hints on how to draw this block, but I won’t be writing out step-by-step instructions because I’d like you to give your new drawing skills a workout! Click here to download the Mini Lesson PDF file. Start by clicking BLOCK > New Block > PatchDraw Block. Remember to Add to Sketchbook  when you’re done.
