The local Boys and Girls Club is having a fundraiser event with auction called Hearts for Helping.  When I have no other hand applique project I do heart blocks that I eventually use in charity quilts so the theme of the event was perfect for making a heart quilt to donate.  The heart blocks are a different style than pictured in the EQ image since they had been made last winter but one of the things I love about EQ is being able to put in block sizes I’ve already made to be able to come up with border options.  The photo is just the finished top – I’ll be quilting on it this week.  And now there’s one less baggie of UFO blocks in the stash!
