Celtic Rose began as a “filler” project while I was working on another project for my longarm machine.  Several years ago, I designed several wholecloth quilts using EQ6.  So I reviewed that project file for ideas and just started quilting on the wholecloth without marking any designs.  After the quilting was completed, I wanted to add some color so I hand painted the feathers and roses a combination of rose and orange (for highlighting).  I added some crystals to the quilt after I completed the painting.
