I designed this quilt in EQ7 and made it for my Mother. Lying on the bed, it loses the “bubbling up” movement that you can see when it’s hanging upright, but I like the quilt, anyway. The fresh white on white and white on natural prints mix beautifully with the 30′s and 40′s repros. I used a mix of modern and vintage layouts and the blocks are a mix of 3″ and 6″ finished. It is freehand quilted on my 1947 Singer model 15 in an allover pattern of leaves and tendrils and blossoms – the quilting design is called “Cotton Blossom” by Christine Marracini.
