The Academy was exceptionally enlightening as to what I didn’t know about EQ8. It was well worth the trip to Perrysburg. I would recommend anyone who wants to use EQ8 efficiently to attend the Academy but familiarize yourself with the program first.
Thanks to the instructors and all the people from Electric Quilt.

I would love to attend the EQ8 lessons to be able to make the most out of your brilliant programme. Are any classes being organised in Europe ? I do hope so as we already miss out on the EQ8 add-ons !

What a fabulous experience! I attended SIX half day classes, each one better than the last. Everything was well organized. Our name tags listed all our classes and what we ordered for lunch. The social night was a great way to meet new people. The location was great with many nice places to go for dinner each night. Finally the EQ staff was FANTASTIC, friendly and ready to help in every way. Thank you for a GREAT time.

Oh, the photos are great. Looks like everyone had a good time. Bet they learned a lot, too. Wish I could go, but it’s TOO FAR AWAY. Ann

I am completely new to EQ8 (or was before my weekend in Perrysburg). I had been working on a block of the month quilt (I am also new to quilting) with no idea how to finish it. I came home and immediately created the blocks in EQ8, designed them in a quilt with sashing and a border and now know what I am going to do. I took the two day intro, importing fabrics, and from design to construction. Every class was very well done. Instructors were great. My career was testing software, designing the training program and on site training. My kudos to the training I received in Perrysburg.

I took the 2-day intro classes and learned so much. Our instructor did a fantastic job and the EQ8 staff was fabulous. Would love to go to more classes next spring.

What about classes in Melbourne or Sydney, Australia ? I’ve owned EQ8 for some years and never really used it so I would love to have face to face teaching. I’ve done online classes but need 2 computers – one running the lesson and the other to follow along at the same time whilst watching what is being taught in the lesson. A class where I can ask questions in real time would be extremely valuable. I often get stuck with something and by the time I send a question to EQ (time differences) or go through my classes to find the solution I give up in frustration.

Hi Juliet,
We’re in the U.S. so hosting a class in Australia isn’t feasible for us. There are lots of shops that carry our products in Australia though, so I’d recommend calling around shops in you area and asking about EQ classes! At the very least, they’ll know there’s interest for EQ classes!
