Club leader Barb Vlack challenges you to: Photo Patchwork Quilt Layout

1 2

May 2015 Challenge

Use the Photo Patchwork layout from QUILT > New Quilt menu to start the one-patch design based on a photo. Instructions for doing this are found on pages 80-83 in the User Manual. The Help file also has some information under Photo Patchwork Quilt if you want to search that out. This layout is a lot of fun and can be used for more than just a quilt design. If you would like to identify individual colors in a photo, for example, you can “pixelate” a digital image here in the quilt layout and go to PRINT > Fabric Yardage > Preview and see pages of all the colors that are contained in that photo. It’s amazing! Have fun with this challenge. Remember you don’t have to MAKE the quilt … unless it’s really something special. Try doing this with a picture of a favorite person.
