Three Strands Strong is a modern, large scale, paper pieced pattern inspired by Ecclesiastes 4:12, “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” This quilt is my interpretation of three-strand woven cords – a bold reminder of strength in relationship and community. I fell in love with the backing fabric first and that dictated my color choices for the top of this first quilt. The design options are endless. The quilt has been made with beautiful Hoffman batiks and also with florals from AGF (on Instagram). All of the variations are stunning. Pattern will be available for purchase through my Etsy shop, QuiltAndArrow, beginning November 1st. 10% of profit from pattern sales of this quilt will be donated to SamaritansPurs.org U.S. Disaster Relief efforts.
