I am a Sherlock Holmes fan and always wanted to do a quilt of my favorite story, The Hound of the Baskervilles. This uses the storm at sea block, a few of which have been altered to achieve the contour of the hound’s head. The fabrics in the lower left of the quilt represent the landscape of the moor and the blue and gray fabrics represent the fog. The eye was done with my embroidery unit and I also added a little silhouette of Sherlock in the top left block.
