I love Sunbonnets and gardening so these embroidery designs really appealed to me. I purchased the designs from Chippewa Cabin Designs. It’s always a challenge to find a interesting setting for embroidery designs. After I had all my embroidery designs done, I converted the designs to exp so I could import them into EQ, recoloured them and then started to audition different settings settling on a One Patch Cobblestone layout. Once the quilt was pieced I added embroidery to each corner in the white border. When quilting it I quilted clouds in the top border, part of a tree on the left top, sun rays in the top right, a climbing leaf design in the bottom half of each side border and in the bottom border I quilted a picket fence. Using EQ I have been able to create more interesting settings for my embroidered blocks. A fun little summer wallhanging for the front hall.
