Made as a Christmas present for my dad.  (You’ll now be thinking that all my family does is nap, and, in fact, there is another for my mom that I haven’t included because I used a pattern, even though I drafted it in EQ first.)  I designed, made and quilted it – machine straight stitching.  I found the more intricate block in a magazine – don’t remember which, and drafted the other myself.  Using EQ was key to drafting the new block because I could easily match it up with the other.  EQ also let me easily play around with colors and placement.
