In response to my guild’s challenge, I designed “Bucket List” in EQ8. I created several embellishments including 3-D flying geese chronologically documenting the quilt style and completion date of a selection of my quilts. Ruby prairie points celebrate my guild’s, NSQG, 40th anniversary year. The 4 o’clock charms and the scissor hands reflect the 4 decades of our guild’s existence. I photographed my quilts and resized the pictures to fit into the 40 wedges. My bucket, shoe and pincushion were sewn separately and appliqued.
This quilt serves as a documentation of my quilting journey through time so that pictures of my quilts are captured in one place. It also keeps my ‘goals’ spilling from the bucket front and center for the future. May my ruby shoe delay kicking my bucket!
