This lap-size quilt was made as a present to a staff member and as part of a book bee where we are working our way through Carolyn Friedlander’s book Savor Each Stitch. This chapter is SCALE. I has playing in EQ7 with custom setting Janeen van Niekerk’s foundation pieced cat silhouette blocks (purchased for EQ7 through the shop) and the big reclining cat just dropped itself into the background — Voila, instant study in SCALE. The big cat foundation was printed at Kinko’s and adjusted a bit to allow piecing in the little cat blocks.
