The applique is an original block but both the rose and the butterfly came from the library. I added the curly leaves to reach up and frame the flutterbys .

This layout is a modified star layout from the library.  I removed some of the star points to make room for the appliqued center.  The Lemonyne Star points were too overwhelming for the applique so I “lightend them up a little by inserting the 9 patch block in each star point and coloring the alternating squares the same as the background.  The border is Big and Little points out with the 9 patch blocks in the little points.
