I decided to take a simple approach with the half-square triangles, emphasizing the positive/negative aspect of the block. Working from a basic Diamond in the Square block shape, I added half-square triangles , then played with size and coloring. I drew the keyboard block, using mostly 1-inch half-square triangle blocks. Then finally, I added applique and text to complete the theme.
