Did you know a lot of the Kaleidoscope Blocks are designed on the same grid as the 8-point stars?  They make wonderful get-togethers.  The StarLight Variation block out of the 8 Point star library has a really cool frame as you can see in the center block.  I also used this frame and extended it into the borders by drawing the “Flying Geese Blocks and setting them on  Layer 2 to complete the lines of the faux sashing… frame.  My husband helped design this quilt and had fun coloring  the quilt and having me add the pinwheels and little Lemoyne stars.  We may have added another EQ user <VBG>
