What would happen if I took the ‘Road to California’ block and changed the squares running diagonally to half-square patches? That fits the challenge. Then how about if I add a simple applique motif in one corner? Why don’t I go ahead and use the symmetry tool for the setting? And finish up with a mini-version of the simple applique to fill in a rather too-empty space?
