Designed for the clubEQ challenge for August, 2015: Panel for a row quilt!
This year many quilt shops across the country are offering souvenir patterns for a row in a row quilt to hand out when quilters visit their shops. They encourage traveling quilters to collect them all! Each panel from a quilt shop highlights something about the shop. My panel for a row honors my home state, Illinois, aka the “Prairie State.” We’re FLAT around here, and you can see forever over cornfields and prairies. The flying Canadian goose block is an original design, created by distorting the patches in the traditional Prairie Queen quilt block.
