I used a Horizontal Quilt layout with 9 – 4.25 inch blocks on which I placed the Redwork embroidery blocks from the EQ library.  The blocks were converted to embelishments for this project.  I included the sash border in the quilt layout and made them 4.00 inches high and wide.  This is where I place the red and white nine-patch blocks.
I made a motif from an applique in the Auto-border section to continue the “redwork”.  Then I changed the redwork to whitework on a red background.
