The only thing making this a ‘baby’ quilt is the size and the delightful colors just as they came from the box. Good going, EQ! It’s a horizontal strip quilt with the center rows half drop blocks. The center medallion is set on diagonal on Layer 2.

The center block is ‘Scrappy Stripper’ from the contemporary pieced – log cabin-like library, paired with everybody’s favorite ’9-Patch’ block. The easy applique border is ‘Drops & Bubbles’ that I drew. For the inner side applique, I squinched the design into half of a regular block to fit in the half-drop layout there.

I have softened the outlines with the thread tool for better website display.
