My favorite designs are based on traditional blocks. One favorite being the nine patch grid. There are 2 nine-patches in this quilt – Strawberry Smoothie (1 coloring) and the basic nine patch (3 colorings). The olive green and gray color palette evolved somewhere in the design process and happily surprised me.
