As hard as I try, my designs must have balance. This simple design morphed several times until I got everybody to play nicely. I do LOVE color and especially Purple. Adding a bit of white on black seems to be the accent that steps a design up a bit for me.

I would love to see this in a mixture of black on white and white on black fabrics. I have been collecting fat quarters and eighths of black/white. I love the designs that throw in a colour for a highlight surprise – perhaps that could be the purple.
It makes me think of a backgammon board. Doesn’t that put you in a holiday mood?
