I took an Accuquilt class, where the assignment was to make a specific block each month (Feb-Dec). I decided early on, if I was going to make blocks, they were going to be for QOV, so I started planning my blocks in matching fabric of Red, White and Blue. I also decided to make 2 of each patterns; one of each would not be enough for a QOV quilt. I also had to add a few designs at the end. Within EQ8, I was able to use the AQ block designs, color code the blocks and play with the arrangement until I was satisfied. I was also able to play with borders and sashing to get the right QOV size. I didn’t know the recipient of the quilt, but I think she is going to love it!
