I’m so excited for this upgrade, particularly not losing my coloring when altering a block. That was a always so very frustrating and time consuming

Never lost my coloring you just have to save the first coloring/block in the album and then EDIT it!

Yes! Pam this is a great enhancement. Jacquie, previously if you would make a change to an EasyDraw block, as soon as you would switch to the Color tab, the coloring would be messed up. It no longer does this in EQ8.

Will the EQ8 upgrade be available via checkerdist.com this time?

Hi Jacquie,
No, the Upgrade is not available through distributors. Only the full versions. Stores can purchase the Upgrade directly from us. Call 800-356-4219 or email sales@electricquilt.com with questions.

Dos this fit together with EQ stitch?
10-12-2017
9:22 am
Hi Gayle, EQStitch will run independently from EQ8. EQ8 will include all the features of EQ7/EQStitch EXCEPT EQStitch’s digitizing abilities. So the Stitching worktable is not included with EQ8. If you would like to continue to digitize designs, you can still use your EQStitch. Also, since you own EQ7 and EQStitch, you are eligible for the EQ7 to EQ8 Upgrade.

Will we be able to save different color combinations of the same block or quilt? I am so tired of loosing old saved color combinations when I make a new combination.
Look forward to not loosing the block colors when I go to a different tab.

Hi Tess,
Absolutely. As with all previous versions of EQ, you can save any in-progress drawings, designs and colorings by adding them to your Sketchbook. Once they are saved in your Sketchbook, you can always go back and work with previous colorings/variations.

I have a computer that does not have a dvd player — will we be able to download over the internet?
Thanks

Hi Tess,
You can choose to purchase a download for Windows or Mac, or you can buy a license card. A license card is a boxed version that will be shipped to you. EQ8 is a download, even if you purchase the boxed version. There is no CD or USB included. The license card gives you a license ID, password, and a link to download the software.

Is there any plans to offer EQ Stitch for Mac? What about EQ8 on iPad?
Mac is for artists and creators these would be great tools!

Hi Shelly,
I’m sorry, but there are no plans for EQStitch on the Mac. EQ8 will not run on an iPad because it requires a OSX, not an iOS. At this time, we do not have plans for a tablet version.

For those of us that have Stitch, will it still be supported? Can I still import my Quiltmaker patterns?

I just finished the download of EQ8-I have been an EQ user since the first release! I have only been exploring the new version for 10 minutes and just want to say the changes made to the wreath maker and applique shapes functions are more than worth the price of admission! Many kudos to the developers for all the work they have put into this newest latest greatest EQ version!
I know there will be a learning curve for some of the updates but my opinion so far is that the upgrade is definitely worth the price!
Thank you EQ!

I hope there is a grid to easily draw hexigons – individual blocks – so we do not have to monkey with altering things to “get by.” One can hope. :0)
