Longtime EQ user, Jo Moury, designed and made this gorgeous quilt a few years ago. She posted it to the EQ Quilt Gallery and over the years more and more folks continued to ask Jo for the pattern! (Check out all the comments on her post!)
Well… here it is! Jo was kind enough to write up her instructions for sewing this quilt. The construction method Jo used for the background block was more of an improv approach than a typical foundation-pieced block so you’ll really want to read about her method in the PDF instructions.

I have been trying to open the file for the Dove of Peace for EQ7 and cannot get it to open. Can you please help me with this. I have downloaded it but it doesn’t show ant pattern or instructions.

Make sure you choose to “save” the PJ7 file so it downloads to your computer. You will find it in your Downloads folder in File Explorer. Once you have it open, you’ll find the quilt in the Quilts section of the Sketchbook.

Thank you so much for sharing your pattern and your process! The hints about flexibility and giving in to inspiration are important and I appreciate this very much. I am probably going to make something like this for my church.
