Videos would be nice to view, but to have to start and stop, go back, etc. if you don’t understand something would start driving you crazy after a while. Plus, you would either have to have two computers on, or jump back and forth between windows to view lesson and do on EQ. On the other hand, trying to read instructions written by a programmer is sometimes harder to understand. Still, I guess written instructions would be the best.

05-10-2016
9:51 am
I definitely would take the on line classes with printable instructions. Yes it’s nice to see the teacher do something, but unless and until you do it yourself, the info doesn’t get “logged-in”. Having the step by step instructions next to me as I worked through the Quilt U classes many years ago was invaluable to me in climbing the EQ learning curve.

9:55 am
My answer is B. It’s one thing to watch a video and go off and do; should you remember all of it or take notes. However, to be able to all is so much better. It aids the audio, visual and tactile learners. Hence, you cover a broader market. This shouldn’t be so hard to figure out by your marketing people.
05-10-2016
9:55 am
B…..Your printed instructions have been excellent in the past…..I can do each step in my own time…..often times videos move along too fast…..I have to watch them over and over before I retain it.

10:00 am
A. I do better with a video since I can stop and start when I need to.
05-10-2016
10:00 am
A. I am more likely to view the video. But if videos follow the users manual, there is no need for further printed material.
05-10-2016
10:00 am
I think B. Visual learning is great, but many times I speed up the videos to get past parts I don’t need help with. With printed materials, I feel I can skim parts I know or easily understand rather than being unsure where to start and stop a video to get to the parts I need. I do both, just prefer printed or combination so I can refer back rather than search for a spot in a video and I feel printed lets me go at my own pace easily.

My answer is A. Even if I have printed instructions I often search for a video to clarify anything that seems unclear. So definitely I would opt for a video class.
05-10-2016
10:03 am
I vote for B. I like to have written lessons with diagrams or pictures that I can work on at my leisure. Since I can seldom do the whole lesson at once I can go back over the last part I looked at before going on. Videos are nice but I can’t look at a video and EQ7 at the same time.

05-10-2016
10:06 am
I would prefer to have printable lessons to refer to later.
05-10-2016
10:07 am
I would prefer B since I would like to refer back to printed directions. A video would compliment the instructions, but if I had to pick only one – B would be best for me.

I think the videos help the most. Having said that, I’m going to Denver to learn in a classroom setting. That works the best for me. I’ve bought my EQ25 shirt to wear to classes.
05-10-2016
10:08 am
I enjoy videos, but I prefer to have printable lessons that I can refer to….so, for me, it is option B..
05-10-2016
10:08 am
I prefer B. That way I always have a reference “book” to look at when needed.
05-10-2016
10:08 am
I would prefer B – that way I can take my time and learn at my own pace rather than having to rewind videos all the time.
05-10-2016
10:09 am
I prefer videos or one-on-one instruction, so I would have to say “A”. I’m a visual person– show me once and I’m the greatest copy-cat!

B. Printable instructions with diagrams would be my choice for designing with EQ.
05-10-2016

05-10-2016
10:11 am
A would be my preferred method. I’m a very visual learner!
05-10-2016
10:11 am
I don’t use the software everyday, so I forget how to navigate the designs. I would like B so I can refer back to the parts that I can’t remember. Also having paper allows me to take notes and draw pictures. Thank you for this great opportunity!!!
05-10-2016
10:11 am
I learn best by reading and then doing the lessons myself. Therefore I would like B.

10:12 am
I am a visual person, so normally I would say videos. However, videos without some printed reference material is not a good solution for a mature mind. I find that I am having to read the instructions more and more every year. So by default, I have to choose B.
05-10-2016
10:12 am
While I enjoy videos as tutorials, I much prefer printed instructions with diagrams. I can then refer to them at another time if I have forgotten after a significant time span.
05-10-2016

I would prefer , B. Online class with printable step-by-step lessons (no videos).

10:15 am
I would prefer B. I need to be able to refer back.
05-10-2016
10:15 am
While I appreciate the videos, they absolutely require “real time,” meaning that there is no way to skim the parts that I already understand. On the other hand, sometimes I find that the printed instructions are not as specific as I need. On balance, though, I prefer the printed instructions.
05-10-2016
10:16 am
I prefer option A- I learn much better when I can see the process in action.
05-10-2016
10:17 am
B online with printable lessons–I like to refer back to printable pages.
05-10-2016
10:17 am
I’ve been trying to decide which would be more effective for me. I think I’ll stick with A since the software is so visual and fast moving, I think a video could cover a tutorial more effectively. Thanks.
05-10-2016
10:17 am
A like to see it as long as I can pause or do a 30 sec rewind.
05-10-2016
10:17 am
I would like to have the printable lessons. Just the way I learn best.
05-10-2016
10:18 am
Given only these two options, I choose B. Printable lessons are useful for future reference. While I’d prefer to watch the lesson via video and have the ability to print that lesson, I see that this is not an option. There are learning platforms that offer both options for the student. Doing this would appeal to the visual learner and those who want a “hard” copy of the lesson.
05-10-2016
10:18 am
I enjoy video classes that follow a step by step method. I love using EQ! I even used EQ7 to redesign my family room to accommodate my long arm.
05-10-2016

Video lessons for complex things without printout information are not as helpful as you might expect.
So I would choose B as long as it is well illustrated and includes numerous screen shots.
05-10-2016
10:21 am
I love online videos if I have unlimited access. But if I really want to learn how to do the lessons I think written lessons are better. My answer is B.

05-10-2016
10:22 am

05-10-2016
10:22 am
Option B. I don’t do well in a classroom.
05-10-2016
10:22 am
A. Watching someone would be faster than reading–as long as it covered everything that would be in the printable version.
05-10-2016
10:23 am
A- I learn better watching someone else do it and explain it.
05-10-2016
10:23 am

05-10-2016
10:39 am
I would prefer the online option with videos….I usually think I’ll get around to reading the book, but never seem to. I’ll go to the books for answers to specific problems I’ve come up against…or, to figure out how to do something…but I’ve yet to read the book cover to cover. Lazy, I know…but true!!!
05-10-2016
10:39 am
B – I can have the print lesson open next to my computer that way!
05-10-2016
10:40 am
I prefer B, like so many others have said, the printed directions allow one to go back over the instructions for review, take notes, etc.
05-10-2016
10:41 am
A – i have taken print based classes and they were good, but I think i would learn faster and better with a visual approach.
05-10-2016
10:41 am
B – online with printable lessons.
05-10-2016
10:42 am
option A: I am a visual learner and I like the ability to replay a video segment to be sure I understand the point being made.
05-10-2016
10:42 am
B. The written text is helpful. In the beginning, as I learned EQ, I made an index card notebook for referral with short-hand instructions.
As I learned the steps I found I didn’t need to look at after a very short while.
05-10-2016
10:42 am
Absolutely B.
05-10-2016
10:43 am
I would prefer on line lessons with printable instructions.
05-10-2016
10:43 am
B, because it’s always a convenience to have the print version handy as reference.
05-10-2016
10:43 am
B I like the printed lessons to refer to as I work on EQ.
05-10-2016
10:43 am
Whereas seeing the work on video is great on initial viewing, moving through a video to find a particular point of reference to repeat and reinforce a learning objective can take an inordinate amount of time multiplied exponentially depending how many times the repeat is needed. Therefore I would deem the paper route to be the most beneficial from a reference/learning point of view as pages are much easier to scan.
05-10-2016
10:44 am
Definitely B so I can refresh my memory if I get stuck later.

05-10-2016
10:55 am

11:00 am
I’d like the written instructions version. Videos are great but pausing them and then trying to do something is too difficult. Of course, if you offer both, that would be ideal. I also wish you would offer single lesssons on some of the more advanced techniques. I learned EQ through trial and error, using the books and by just working on different techniques. I don’t need a beginners class and don’t need the sampler but would love things like a less on Medallion quilts as and example.
05-10-2016
11:01 am
I prefer B
05-10-2016
11:01 am
A. Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons)
05-10-2016

11:08 am
I would most defiantly vote for “A”! I am a visual learner!
05-10-2016
11:08 am
I find that I learn best by doing so step by step instructions would be a great learning tool for me! Sometimes the videos can be overwhelming when trying to follow along and making sure you remember where you left off, or timing a pause just right to get caught up!
05-10-2016
11:10 am
B please
05-10-2016

05-10-2016
11:12 am
I would choose A.. Online classes with full video lessons
05-10-2016
11:13 am
I like “A”. I learn best by watching someone else, and I can always go back and watch the video again if I forget something. I don’t like the printable option since there is already too much paper cluttering my life.
I enjoy these contests. It’s fun to see all the different responses, and the prizes are great! Thank you.
05-10-2016
11:13 am
I want “B” please. I like to have written instructions that I can refer back to when I need to.

05-10-2016
11:17 am
Option B
05-10-2016
11:17 am
B. Give me the reference material every time and I’ll learn as I go. I’m too old to watch “tv” and watch what I’m doing at the same time!
05-10-2016
11:17 am
I prefer option B.
05-10-2016
11:17 am
I prefer B. Then I have something to look at and read for future uses.
05-10-2016
11:17 am

11:19 am
I strongly prefer B. I do much better going at my own pace without having to pause, go back.
05-10-2016
11:21 am
I would choose b – that way I would have the instructions after the class
05-10-2016
11:21 am
I prefer B. This way I can look at the instructions as I do the steps. Plus save them for the future if I forget how it was done.
05-10-2016
11:21 am
B definetely more useful for me. I like to refer back to material without having to rewarch a video.
05-10-2016
11:22 am
B
05-10-2016
11:23 am
I would prefer A because I’m a visual person. A video can be played any time.
05-10-2016
11:23 am
B please, I like to have hard copy for reference.
05-10-2016
11:23 am
I am a visual person and learn easier if I can watch a video so I choose A
05-10-2016
11:24 am
I prefer B
05-10-2016
11:24 am
Print instructions suit my learning style best, so B.
05-10-2016
11:24 am
With the printable.
05-10-2016
11:24 am
Hands down B!
05-10-2016
11:24 am
I like videos but I’ll choose B because I want a printable reference to use and make notes on.
05-10-2016
11:26 am
I prefer method A. I love your fabric and EQ.
05-10-2016
11:26 am
I learn when I can connect a “lecture” with something written. But because there is only an either or I would prefer the video and would take my own notes. I would need to be able to stop and repeat the video, though. And the ability to revisit the video would be great. Like the Craftsy classes. Once you have purchased the class, its yours.
05-10-2016
11:27 am
I’d love a combo but if I have to choose one it would be B to have a hard copy of instructions.
05-10-2016
11:27 am
How would I prefer to learn Electric Quilt software?
A. Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons)
As a visual learner, I would prefer what I can see, however, the 2nd option is good when you want to review it at a later time. So my answer is that I’d like video lessons with a printout to refresh my memory later!!!
05-10-2016
11:27 am
B, defininately. Reflection and pondering time is better with the written word (and easier to read in bed, too).
05-10-2016
11:28 am
“definitely”
05-10-2016
11:27 am
I think I prefer “B” to be able to have something in hand to refer back to. Videos are good if they cover much, but only if they are continually available.
“B” for me. Thanks.
05-10-2016
11:28 am
B. I prefer to have printable lessons
05-10-2016
11:29 am
Videos, if they are available to watch over and over, and if they can be paused as needed.
05-10-2016
11:29 am
B, as I like something to refer to quickly when actually trying the technique in EQ.
Would this be different information from the manual? The videos would have been my first choice if it was following along with the manual in some manner, so I always had printed material as well.
05-10-2016
11:29 am
B – Like to print the lesson and take it with me to my sewing machine.
05-10-2016
11:30 am
I prefer B — old fashioned paper reference materials!
05-10-2016
11:30 am
I must choose B since I would need a reference to look back too. Also the problem of possible interenet down time. timewilltell63 at yahoo dot com
05-10-2016
11:31 am
videos if they are able to be done anytime you want and can be watched as many times as you need
05-10-2016
11:31 am
I prefer with printable instructions, much easierfor me to learn.
05-10-2016
11:31 am
I would choose option A. I would prefer video lessons. This is a great giveaway, thank you for the chance. Have a great day!
05-10-2016
11:32 am
B, want a quick reference when needed.
05-10-2016
11:32 am
B, as I like to have something printed I can refer to.
05-10-2016
11:32 am
Online videos would be a great way to learn as long as they would be available indefinitely.
05-10-2016
11:32 am
I prefer B, the printed lessons.
05-10-2016
11:32 am
B I like to go back and furth in the lessons.
05-10-2016
11:32 am
Online classes with video (Option A) as long as it would be possible to go back at a later date and review the video.
05-10-2016
11:34 am
(A) Iwould prefer videos with no printouts. I never print out the lessons…. Inks to expensive! I’d rather buy fabric
05-10-2016
11:34 am
B. Online class with printable step-by-step lessons (no videos)
05-10-2016
11:34 am
A videos to see and learn again and again.
05-10-2016
11:35 am
A. I love online classes.
05-10-2016
11:35 am
Online class, if I could refer to it when needed.
05-10-2016
11:35 am
B – printed instructions that I can refer to later would be great. I don’t necessarily want to print them, as long as I could save them as a PDF and refer to them later.
05-10-2016
11:36 am
A. Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons)
05-10-2016
11:36 am
I prefer printed lessons for future reference.
05-10-2016
11:37 am
A – videos to watch again and again.
05-10-2016
11:37 am
I prefer the step-by-step video. It gives me the option to view multiple times, reverting back to a place that perhaps I missed or forgot, or just refreshing my memory. A printed version is great but, then I have to file it and relocate it later. I tend to spill coffee on it and of course chocolate, and that doesn’t happen on my video!
05-10-2016
11:37 am
I guess I’d have to say printed would be my choice. Since I do have a lap top or tablet to put by my sewing machine, printed instructions would make more sense. Heck, I don’t even have a fancy machine. It does 6 additional stitches besides straight and zig zag.
05-10-2016
11:38 am
A! Love that I CA just click and learn!
05-10-2016
11:40 am
A! Love that I can just click and learn!!!
05-10-2016
11:40 am
I prefer written. I can go back over at my own pace.
05-10-2016
11:40 am
I would prefer B for quick reference, as long as it is different than just a rehash of the manual.
05-10-2016
11:40 am
I would love to say both but since that isn’t an option, I would say b. I agree with the others about needing something to refer to.
05-10-2016
11:41 am
Printable instructions that I can easily refer to! Thanks
05-10-2016
11:41 am
B, printed lessons.
05-10-2016
11:41 am
Defintely B – I am always going back to the printouts – always finding something I had missed.
05-10-2016
11:42 am
B, the printed lessons.
05-10-2016
11:43 am
B
05-10-2016
11:44 am
A
But I would say that having videos with printable checklists, etc. would be the best.
05-10-2016
11:44 am
B, because I find printed lessons much easier to refer back to.
05-10-2016
11:44 am
I prefer A. I like to be able to watch things over again, plus, let’s save some trees.
05-10-2016
11:46 am
A. I am a visual learner and I like being able to refer back to a video at my convenience.
05-10-2016
11:47 am
While I love videos, I would prefer the printed lessons (with pictures) so I can refer back to them while I’m actually using EQ.
Often I am not interested in what the lesson is teaching “today” but I will probably want to get my hands on them later.
Thanks
05-10-2016
11:47 am
I would prefer the online video lessons but only if I could access them as often as I wanted.
05-10-2016
11:47 am
A. Videos. I learn best by watching.
05-10-2016
11:48 am
Printed materials is my preference.
05-10-2016
11:48 am
A. Video lessons
05-10-2016
11:49 am
Video lessons, but only if they are of a very high quality like the videos produced by Craftsy and Annie’s. They need to be broken down into chunks that are easy to navigate, re-reference, and bookmark.
05-10-2016
11:49 am
Definitely B. Videos go to quickly and pausing, backing up, then unpausing gets to be frustrating
05-10-2016
11:49 am
I prefer B so I can go over and over it if I don’t unerstand
05-10-2016
11:50 am
B. My preference is printed materials.
05-10-2016
11:51 am
Since both is off the table,I’d have to say B. I like notes to refer back to.
05-10-2016
11:52 am
B. I prefer to have step by step printable directions, so that, later, when I forget how to do something, I can go back and look at my directions again. Unless the videos are lifetime viewing, printables are best.
05-10-2016
11:52 am
B. I think having a visual class along with handouts is the way I Iearn best.
05-10-2016
11:52 am
While I love online classes I love hard copy. So I would have to say B. Having a hard copy of the lessons to refer back to would work best for me. Slow learner.
05-10-2016
11:52 am
The printed copy B works best for me.
05-10-2016
11:52 am
A) Videos, I am a visual learner. once the class is purchased I feel the videos should be accessible to us for an unlimited time. Plus the videos should have the functionality to be can be paused, rewound, played again and again.
05-10-2016
11:52 am
A – Seeing someone do step by step is very helpful. Seeing the screens and where to go exactly helps.
05-10-2016
11:53 am
A. Full video…
05-10-2016
11:53 am
A – online class with Video lessons! I learn best by watching!
05-10-2016
11:54 am
I prefer printable lessons. I learn by doing and I can work at my own pace with printed lessons. It is also the way I’ve been learning all my life (computers arrived in homes about the time I left school! )
05-10-2016
11:54 am
I would prefer printable instructions. I find it is difficult to take notes with the videos and then it is difficult to find the same place again.
05-10-2016
11:55 am
I would prefer print (B). I like video also, but it’s always a drag to lug the computer out and I have lousy Wi-Fi!
05-10-2016
11:56 am
This is a difficult choice, but I would say printed lessons as long as the lessons include high quality pictures and the steps have been tested by someone that hasn’t been involved in creating the lesson. The testing part is important because it would tend to eliminate errors in the instructions and assumptions made by the developer.
05-10-2016
11:56 am
I prefer written instrctions
05-10-2016
11:57 am
A – videos are really helpful when you can watch someone actually go through the steps.
05-10-2016
11:57 am
B. Since you can’t interact with the video, the printable lesson can be saved to a PDF file and have for reference later. I’m not sure how to easily reference one part of a video without making sure it’s still available and finding the correct spot. PDFs allow you to search for a keyword.
05-10-2016
11:58 am
I’m torn. The printable lessons would be helpful because currently I have to stop what I’m doing in EQ to watch a video and then go back and remember each step while I am working in EQ. The printable would allow me to see the steps as I am attempting to do them in Sometimes I eatch them multiple times because my memory is not so good. I suppose I could write the instructions from the video as I watch it, but the printable would be more concise. I do like the fact that the videos are paperless, for environmental reasons, but the printables would be nice.
05-10-2016
11:58 am
B I like to see it on paper and have it to use for reference later
05-10-2016
11:58 am
A, online. I am a visual learner for sure!
05-10-2016
11:58 am
B. Online class with printable step-by-step lessons (no videos)
05-10-2016
11:59 am
I would say B printable lessons. I find it easier to reference the next step if lesson is printed versus trying to find it on a video.
05-10-2016
11:59 am
I prefer B. I like to have something written beside me as I do it the first few times.
05-10-2016
12:00 pm
I seem to learn better with printed instructions. They make it easy to backtrack if I need to check on instructions.
05-10-2016
12:00 pm
Video lessons that are always accessible would be my preference.
05-10-2016
12:02 pm
b -printable instryctions
05-10-2016
12:02 pm
B – definitely both
05-10-2016
12:02 pm
B. I want to be able to work on EQ while reading the lessons, which I couldn’t do if I were watching a video.
05-10-2016
12:03 pm
I choose B. I would prefer printable instructions for quick reference.
05-10-2016
12:03 pm
B, I love online classes, but need something to refer back to.
05-10-2016
12:03 pm
I prefer option B. I like something in my hand to refer to.
05-10-2016
12:03 pm
B. I prefer to have printable lessons that I can refer to at a later date.
05-10-2016
12:04 pm
B
05-10-2016
12:04 pm
Print preferred. Print manuals are much easier than online to move back and forth when figuring out how to make features work.
05-10-2016
12:04 pm
I would say b- easier to reference quickly
05-10-2016
12:05 pm
B- online class with printable
05-10-2016
12:06 pm
tough one…i do like the videos but because i do not have inexpensive internet i would have to pick printable lessons (unless there is an option somewhere i’ve missed where i can download the the lesson and then watch it at home?).
05-10-2016
12:07 pm
I choose A. I’m such a visual learner.
05-10-2016
12:07 pm
A.
Video would be nice with some sort of list of Frequently Asked Questions referring back to place-marks in the video.
05-10-2016
12:08 pm
A – online videos. I agree with another comment – I never print out instructions. I learn visually so the videos are perfect for me.
05-10-2016
12:08 pm
I would love to have a combo but since I have to choose it would have to be B..It helps to have hard copies. I love my EQ7 but I need to learn more.
05-10-2016
12:08 pm
Video lessons if they would refer to the section of the manual that gives the same information.
05-10-2016
12:08 pm
I prefer B..
05-10-2016
12:08 pm
I would prefer option A. No need to risk losing some paper when a video will be online and accessible at any time and from anywhere.
05-10-2016
12:09 pm
B – much prefer to have something printed in front of me that I can write on and refer to again as required. Thanks for the great giveaway!
05-10-2016
12:12 pm
B Printable lessons I can hi-light and mark up with reference points as I’m using EQ on the computer.
05-10-2016
12:12 pm
B – That’s a tough call, but I really like to be able to see things in print (with photos or graphics). For instance, I’m really enjoying the format of the lessons in “Quilt Design: Design Tricks from EQ Experts”.
05-10-2016
12:12 pm
I prefer B- printable directions that I could use to follow along.
05-10-2016
12:12 pm
B
05-10-2016
12:13 pm
I choose B. I like the idea of holding and reading the directions so I can take my time and refer to the notes.
05-10-2016
12:13 pm
B. I like having the printed material in front of me.
05-10-2016
12:13 pm
A. Videos are helpful.
05-10-2016
12:15 pm
B. It is easier for me to go at my own pace without pausing a video
05-10-2016
12:16 pm
A – I like videos for learning, even better if you can download them for multiple viewings.
05-10-2016
12:17 pm
I would choose A with the stipulation that the videos can be paused and rewatched more than once. This combined with the manual should make for great learning
05-10-2016
12:17 pm
A am a visual learner.
05-10-2016
12:17 pm
I like B method to learn EQ.
05-10-2016
12:18 pm
B.
However, I am not going to lie. I am deaf. Therefore, if the video(s) are not closed captioning, I will not purchase or participate.
05-10-2016
12:19 pm
I learn better when I read the directons, so B is my choice.
05-10-2016
12:21 pm
A because I like to see the demo. But it would be great to have printable lessons to go along with the video.
05-10-2016
12:22 pm
I like printed material that I can refer to later.a month after viewing a Video it is impossible to remember all the steps to a process. So I vote for option A
05-10-2016
12:22 pm
A I’m a visual learner
05-10-2016
12:22 pm
B. I love the ability to pause videos, but also like something tangible.
05-10-2016
12:22 pm
B. Love to have easy access if I need to go back to review something.
05-10-2016
12:23 pm
I prefer print out instructions. I like video, but find it a pain to stop and start all the time.
05-10-2016
12:24 pm
B…like having a hard copy to go back and forth with.
05-10-2016
12:25 pm
B, I am the type of person that has to have printable instructions. It would be nice to have a video with printable information to re-read, if possible.
05-10-2016
12:25 pm
B. I like to take my time learning and perfecting.
05-10-2016
12:25 pm
I like learning online watching the video and also having written tutorials. So, a combination of A and B. Online video to watch the demo. Sometimes this is all I need. However, I do like the printable tutorials or PDF’s to review step by step at a later date.
05-10-2016
12:27 pm
B It allows me to work at my own pace. Also, it allows me to refer to the lessons even when I do not have internet access.
05-10-2016
12:27 pm
A – online class with video.
05-10-2016
12:28 pm

05-10-2016
12:29 pm
B – I do better at reading and going at my own speed.
05-10-2016
12:33 pm
A. An online class that you can rewind and is always available.
05-10-2016
12:34 pm
B. I really like the printed instructions because I can replay the section I want at any time.
05-10-2016
12:35 pm
A as I too am a visual learner but I need to be able to follow along with printed material, make notes, and refer back to it later
05-10-2016
12:36 pm
I would choose A if the videos were downloadable for reference. If not then some printable material would be wonderful for backup and reference.
05-10-2016
12:36 pm
A. I like to be able to view the project.
05-10-2016
12:37 pm
Definitely B
05-10-2016
12:37 pm
B – Videos are nice, but a hard copy is easier to follow.
05-10-2016
12:38 pm
B. I much prefer to read than to watch a video. I do like to refer back while understanding, and that is not so easy when watching videos. Slow internet (the only available here) doesn’t help either since often videos don’t download well.
05-10-2016
12:38 pm
A I find it very helpful to see things bwing done.
05-10-2016
12:39 pm

05-10-2016

05-10-2016
1:00 pm
With printable lesson. I live in the country and Internet service is very limited and expensive. Online classes are really not an accessible option.
05-10-2016
1:00 pm
B. While I love video instruction, it’s usually easier for me to follow step by step printed directions.
05-10-2016
1:00 pm

I am a visual learner, so although I’d like both, if I have to choose just one, I choose A the videos.
05-10-2016
1:08 pm
I would prefer a video where I could go over it as many times as needed to get the technique or whatever it is that I’m trying to master.
05-10-2016
1:09 pm
I find its much easier for me to go at my own pace when time is available. Also I prefer to read as I am working the lesson on the computer.
Of course an additional video would be great.
05-10-2016
1:09 pm
A for me.
05-10-2016
1:09 pm
Definitely “B”. I like to have illustrations to refer back to.
05-10-2016
1:10 pm
I would like printed lessons
05-10-2016
1:10 pm
B. Although I can’t figure out how you have an online class without viewing videos. The older I get the more I need the printed material sitting in front of me…lol
05-10-2016
1:10 pm
I prefer option A
05-10-2016
1:11 pm
I would say A because seeing things done helps me learn better than reading alone.
05-10-2016
1:11 pm
B. I like not having to write notes but having a reference available.
05-10-2016
1:15 pm
B, I need a reference that I can refer back to, as a memory aid.
05-10-2016
1:15 pm
I prefer B so that I can refer back to it.
05-10-2016
1:15 pm
I’m a visual learner and like to go back over and over, so i think I wold like to be able to print out the lessons. Thanks for sharing
05-10-2016
1:15 pm
B. I like to be able to refer back to printed instructions with lots of pictures!
05-10-2016
1:16 pm
I choose B — I usually like to read instructions rather than watching videos
05-10-2016
1:16 pm
A, I like to see how others are doing the process
05-10-2016
1:17 pm
Option A. I am a visual learner so being able to go back at anytime to view would be most helpful to me. Thank you.
05-10-2016
1:22 pm
A. If the videos are clear and we’ll focused so that I can pause and study them repeatedly until I have it down. Prefer captions because of my hearing problems.
05-10-2016
1:23 pm
B. It’s easier to reference later on.
05-10-2016
1:25 pm
Being a visual learner, I would prefer A with the videos.
05-10-2016
1:25 pm
I love video instruction. I’d vote for “A”.
05-10-2016
1:26 pm
A is my choice.
05-10-2016
1:26 pm
B. I like to be able to go at my own pace and go back to reference an item easily without having to rewind or try to find it again in a video.
05-10-2016
1:27 pm
B. Prefer to be able to quickly go back and review, or read then do, read then do, etc. Easier to remember things that way.
05-10-2016
1:28 pm
B I prefer no videos, sometimes it is hard to catch the details in videos. I like being able to refer back to notes later when I forget a part.
05-10-2016
1:29 pm
B. -I like to have printed directions to refer to as often as necessary.
05-10-2016
1:30 pm
I prefer A- Its great to be able to replay a video.
05-10-2016
1:30 pm
A. Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons)
05-10-2016
1:30 pm
“A”
05-10-2016
1:30 pm
B. I like to take my time and check what I have done. So much easier to do with printed directions.
05-10-2016
1:30 pm
Tough choice but, if I have to choose one I would pick B. I like videos but if I want to go back to a particular process it’s much easier to just look it up with the printed material than trying to go back in a video to review the steps.
05-10-2016
1:31 pm
B – I like to save the printouts to refer to later
05-10-2016
1:33 pm
I’d prefer B. That way, I’d have something to refer back to when I am working in EQ7.
05-10-2016
1:33 pm
I like both equally well. It’s more important how well it is done than the format.
05-10-2016
1:33 pm
A. Hopefully with the ability to pause and backup the videos.
05-10-2016
1:35 pm
I prefer online class with video that I can pause as I work through the lesson. After all, who needs more paper which only takes up space that could be used for fabric!.
05-10-2016
1:36 pm
B I stay busy and prefer to be able to stop and restart when I need to.
05-10-2016
1:36 pm
A because I’m a visual person and seeing a “live” presentation works best for my mind. I would also like it to be something repeatable meaning I have access to watch it more than once.
05-10-2016
1:36 pm
I would like the online classes with printable lessons that I can refer to later.
05-10-2016
1:37 pm
B
05-10-2016
1:44 pm
Difficult choice. I’d go with B.
But reading/learnng isn’t for everyone, look how many people answering this question must not have read the instructions to not choose both.
05-10-2016
1:46 pm
B. I much prefer to work through things at my own pace and written instructions are easier to go back into to reread instructions.
05-10-2016
1:47 pm
I find the videos helpful, but if I only had one media I would prefer to have it printed out. It’s easier for me to work through printed instructions because I have to keep going bakc and figuring out what I didn’t understand the first time. Going back in a video is too difficult. I can never find the right spot to pick up.
05-10-2016
1:47 pm
B. I need the printed matter!
05-10-2016
1:48 pm
I think I would prefer printed instructions – it is easier to go back and refer to them rather than have to find the exact right spot in a video to brush up on something.
05-10-2016
1:48 pm
B. — I still live in a place where my bandwidth is limited, so pictures work better than streaming video
05-10-2016
1:48 pm
I would prefer B. I feel more confident with printed material.
05-10-2016
1:49 pm
I like written instructions best. It is just easier for me.
05-10-2016
1:49 pm
A. when I’m doing something I’ve never done before it’s easier for me to see it done a replicate than go off instructions without a clear idea of what I’m working for.
05-10-2016
1:52 pm
I would prefer the printed information easier to work with.
05-10-2016
1:52 pm
Option B. I like watching and then printing so I have something to refer to.
05-10-2016
1:52 pm
A video is nice if you can’t figure something out from the printed instructions. But if I can only have one, then give me the printed instructions. I need to work at my own pace, one step at a time. Sue would be nice to have pictures, though.
05-10-2016
1:53 pm
B. I would like something to reference back to and printouts are perfect for that.
05-10-2016
1:54 pm
An online class with printable lessons. Option B
05-10-2016
1:56 pm
I would prefer the videos as long as they clearly show each step. Everyone has their own learning style-the videos would reach those folks that need visual & auditory presentations. I know my strength is through visual learning. Thank you for providing this giveaway.
05-10-2016
1:56 pm
If I can only choose one, it would have to be “in print!”
05-10-2016
1:57 pm
I would have to select B so I could refer back to the information any time I needed to. Thanks.
05-10-2016
1:58 pm
Print-versions have the better potential to last through generations of quilters.
05-10-2016
1:59 pm
I’d prefer B. I don’t want to have to watch a video on basic computer knowledge (how to save a file, how to navigate a menu, etc.) Just to learn one little fact about the program.
05-10-2016
2:00 pm
Online with printable instructions!
05-10-2016
2:01 pm
Videos is my preference if they are well constructed and the process is clearly visible. Being able to stop and start, pause and rewind makes it very easy to learn. However, really difficult and complex instructions are sometimes easier to absorb with a step by step printed guide. So whilst you don’t want me to say “both” it is true.
05-10-2016
2:01 pm
I prefer videos since I’m a visual learner (along with an option to print), however, since choice A wouldn’t have printables, I’d have to go with choice B.
05-10-2016
2:02 pm
I like choice A but would also like to have printable options with it.
05-10-2016
2:04 pm
I’ve been watching some of your youtube videos this week and really learning a lot so I would say A though I do also like the written lessons.
05-10-2016
2:04 pm
B. I like to have lessons to refer to while. I still have lessons on paper from Quilt University that offered EQ classes.
05-10-2016
2:05 pm
I like the video, to be able to see the application done is a big plus for me, but I also like to review, if the video lessons were available all the time after the initial class for review, with no expiration date, then I vote for A as an appropriate choice for me. I can make my own notes, and it would be easier for me to understand.
Thank you
05-10-2016
2:07 pm
B – Even though I often learn better watching videos, the printable lesson would be a great option.
05-10-2016
2:09 pm
Will have to say B as I like to have a printed reference but if I could I would say both. Videos are very nice but printed step by step is preferred.
05-10-2016
2:09 pm
Video lessons are very helpful, though occasionally I wish I could fast-forward through a section I already understand. Still, it’s very helpful to see someone move the mouse on the screen, select the correct menu choice, etc.
Thank you for having this contest!

05-10-2016
2:10 pm
I would prefer to have printed materials to be able to refer to as needed after the classes.
05-10-2016
2:11 pm
A – I learn better by watching and listening than reading.
05-10-2016
2:12 pm
B – printed documentation is always easier to go back to find an answer or go over a particular section.
05-10-2016
2:13 pm
I would prefer to learn using EQ by B. It would be easier for me to refer to a paper with instructions in front of me as I was working in EQ than having to refer to a video. Thanks for the chance to win!! I would love to take this step in my quilt making.
05-10-2016
2:14 pm
I like printed instructions and lessons. A video “tip” is great to help. but I need to “do as I go” and that is difficult with video lessons. They go at a faster pace, which is fine if I know the basics and want a refresher or a new tip, but if I am totally new, I find the video goes too fast for my to try as I go.
05-10-2016
2:15 pm
I much prefer to have written instructions. Video is OK if I am stuck on some point but you can always go back to printed matter again and again.
05-10-2016
2:15 pm
B. Love having something physical to refer back to.
05-10-2016
2:19 pm
I am very much a visual learner. I would prefer the online video lessons, as long as I could stop and rewind and watch again.
05-10-2016
2:23 pm
I prefer having printed instructions to refer back to.
05-10-2016
2:25 pm
I would prefer A. I am a visual learner and would like the videos.
05-10-2016
2:25 pm
I like B only because I can go back and review after a period of time if I would forget.
05-10-2016
2:27 pm
“B” would work better for me. Thank you for the opportunity.
05-10-2016
2:28 pm
I love to work with paper, so it would be “B”.
Best regards, Ursula
05-10-2016
2:29 pm
I would like B so I could review the material when needed.
05-10-2016
2:29 pm
I prefer on line WITH printed materials. Step by step videos are the best. They can be viewed again and again.
05-10-2016
2:30 pm
B. Online class with printable instructions.
05-10-2016
2:31 pm
B for me! I learn faster when I can follow printed step by step.
05-10-2016
2:31 pm
“A” definitely. I am a visual learner.
05-10-2016
2:32 pm
Would prefer B, printed materials. Easier to reference, and videos get frustrating if they keep going over stuff you know. Easier to skip ahead in print than fast forwarding a video – might miss something important.
05-10-2016
2:33 pm
Knowing that everything I want to know is somewhere in an EQ book – it’s still takes time to find the book and then find an answer. Simple written instructions – with LOTS OF ILLUSTRATIONS – are best. I can always refer back to them. Videos are ok – but I’d need to take notes, anyway, so I remember.
05-10-2016
2:33 pm
B I need the printed info to reference
05-10-2016
2:34 pm
Printable lessons so that I can refer back if I forget something (forgetting seems to happen more as you age) so a printed copy makes it easier for me.
05-10-2016
2:35 pm
A would be my choice.
05-10-2016
2:35 pm
A!
05-10-2016
2:36 pm
I prefer printed and lots of illustrations.
05-10-2016
2:36 pm
B. Online class with printable instructions
05-10-2016
2:36 pm
I need visuals…I pick videos, Choice A!
05-10-2016
2:38 pm
B. I find written information easier to follow and I can work at my own pace without need to start and stop a video. Much easier to find a spot to pick up again or refresh the information. I am old enough that I learn best from the printed page – especially when I can mark it up myself.
05-10-2016
2:40 pm
I’m torn. But I’m a visual learner so I will choose A video option.
05-10-2016
2:44 pm
My answer: B — I chose B, where one can learn at their own pace as well as print out lessons to access when video is not prudent. This is a much better option, in my opinion, because of the printouts. How many of us have magazine subscriptions? I know I have a few and have had for several years now. I keep them all. If I had to continuously jump back and forth between screens, pushing pause, minimizing, maximizing, etc., my eyes would cross — and forget about getting my pieces stitched straight after that! All kidding aside, after one has watched a lesson (offline), it’s a great option to be able to go back in and see it again without having to navigate back through the entire lesson via the printable versions. I want to spend the majority of my time quilting and designing my quilts, after all — not simply learning about those things, right?
05-10-2016
2:45 pm
I prefer vedio so I can see how it is done
05-10-2016
2:46 pm
I like printed material. I can make notes and generally remember sequences better.
05-10-2016
2:48 pm
A, I like videos!
05-10-2016
2:48 pm
A, videos!
05-10-2016
2:49 pm
B- printable lessons.
05-10-2016
2:49 pm
B. The printed page or pages saved to Dropbox are always on hand, I find it helpful to have the directions at hand when working through the lesson.

2:50 pm
I would have to take “B” the printable version. I forget too easily and need the reference to refer to.
I will way that if the video were related to an in-print book that would be ideal.
05-10-2016
2:50 pm
I like written instructions with lots of pictures.
05-10-2016
2:51 pm
I prefer videos!
05-10-2016
2:51 pm
I prefer A, I am a visual learner and as long as I can go back to the video or pause and rewind I would be great with this method.
05-10-2016
2:55 pm
I prefer A, video presentation are a great visual tool, as long as the video can be paused and rewound this is my preferred method.
05-10-2016
2:56 pm
I would prefer B.
05-10-2016
2:56 pm
I think I’d prefer video over print. If there something you don’t understand, you can repeat the video over and over. If you don’t understand print, there’s no further explanation.
05-10-2016
2:57 pm
Printable lessons!
05-10-2016
2:58 pm
I would prefer printable lessons.
05-10-2016
3:00 pm
B would be my choice. Would be able to make notes on printed information.
05-10-2016
3:00 pm
I think I would like the printed version better
05-10-2016
3:01 pm
Well, with only the 2 choices and no other background info, I will have to choose B – the printable instructions. Love the fabric bundles!
05-10-2016
3:02 pm
I would prefer written instructions.
05-10-2016
3:03 pm
Totally want the printed lesson. I learn by doing, not by listening. With the printed lesson I can work through the process while I read it.
05-10-2016
3:03 pm
B. I find printed material to be much more helpful.
05-10-2016
3:04 pm
Obviously, the optimum would be both, but I would have to go with B. Having written instructions to refer back to would be a plus for me.
05-10-2016
3:08 pm
B. I think it would be better to print so you can go back to it again if you need to .
05-10-2016
3:10 pm
I always need the printed back-up so i would have to say B.
05-10-2016
3:12 pm
Printed material – allows for continual review and reference.
05-10-2016
3:12 pm
Video lessons are nice, but I prefer printable lessons, Option B. Thanks.
05-10-2016
3:12 pm
I prefer an online class with printable course materials (assuming that the printed materials are clear and complete!).
05-10-2016
3:15 pm
B. I, like many others, prefer to work at my own pace and have hard copies that I can refer back to.
05-10-2016
3:18 pm
Printable instructions are nice for reference as long as there’s pictures.
05-10-2016
3:19 pm
B the printed instructions
05-10-2016
3:19 pm
On line with printable lessons.
05-10-2016
3:21 pm
B. I like to have hard copies or PDFs to refer to when quilting over videos.
05-10-2016
3:21 pm
B. I really find written backup handy for working out problems. Love to be able to write notes from my perspective to help me learn.
05-10-2016
3:22 pm
Option B I like printable material, but I also like a video to be able to see the lesson.
05-10-2016
3:22 pm
B – I would prefer to have the printed so that I can lean at my own pace. Also having it printed I can go back over things I would have trouble with or in time have forgotten how to do. Also not everyone has unlimited access to the internet, so printing would be best.
05-10-2016
3:23 pm
I prefer video lessons. There are other EQ printed resources available plus there’s always EQ Support! Happy Anniversary!
05-10-2016
3:24 pm
I prefer videos. I misinterpret written directions.
05-10-2016
3:24 pm
A would be fantastic. Seeing is so much easier than reading when learning how to use software!
05-10-2016
3:27 pm
A. I could watch the video more than once and take my own notes.
05-10-2016
3:27 pm
B I would prefer to have notes to refer to when I needed to refresh my memory on how to do something.
05-10-2016
3:31 pm
I would prefer an online class the print outs so I can refer back while using the program without having to watch a video over again.
05-10-2016
3:33 pm
I must with B! I love to have a Video to watch but later I NEED written step by step instructions! So I must go with B!
Hugs,
Betty
05-10-2016
3:33 pm
B-I do not enjoy videos. I feel they waste time when I can skim through written instructions and just concentrate on the ones that I need.
05-10-2016
3:35 pm
I would much prefer to have the printed information so Option B is my choice.
05-10-2016
3:38 pm
I love video lessons. I am a visual learner so I enjoy and learn better by watching a demonstration. If I am not able to choose an in person class like the EQ Academy, then I vote for video lessons.
05-10-2016
3:38 pm
B. But, it is a close call. I still like to have paper for referring back.
05-10-2016
3:39 pm
Option B – it is hard to watch a video and follow along in EQ at the same time, having printables to follow would be much better.
05-10-2016
3:41 pm
I prefer B so I can refer to the Printed material.
05-10-2016
3:41 pm
Option B – Online class with printable step-by-step lessons, then I can learn on my own schedule and have printable guides to help me.
05-10-2016
3:45 pm
I prefer Option B. I love having a binder of my class notes that I can refer to again and again, on my own time.
05-10-2016
3:46 pm
A – I’m a very visual person…reading it isn’t enough for me, I just zone out. lol
05-10-2016
3:46 pm
It would be “A” as I have the books that came with the software plus others. In all honesty, my favorite way to learn is to attend EQ again next year! Love being able to ask questions!
05-10-2016
3:46 pm
I would choose B, I like to have printed instructions
05-10-2016
3:47 pm
I like option b. better, having the lessons printed. It’s easier to look back if you can’t remember something.
05-10-2016
3:48 pm
B I like to be able to read instructions over and over.
05-10-2016
3:51 pm
I like written instructions to refer to, but sometimes I can get bogged down in them. So I vote for “A”.
05-10-2016
3:51 pm
That is a tough question. As a visual learner, I would have to go with A, as long as I could watch over and over again.
05-10-2016
3:55 pm
Prefer B as I am a visual person and like to refer back to written instructions, always.
05-10-2016
4:02 pm
A, I think videos would be nice!
05-10-2016
3:58 pm
A…online class with full video lessons
05-10-2016
3:58 pm
B – I learn with the written word best
05-10-2016

b
05-10-2016
4:00 pm
Prefer B; like to have to have something written when watching a video.
05-10-2016
4:03 pm
I’d say I prefer written instructions, so b is my answer!
05-10-2016
4:04 pm
B. I like to be able to find exactly what I want without having to scroll back and for and to be able to take to my cutting table or my work table.
05-10-2016
4:07 pm
B – It would be easier for me to have written instructions to refer to as I work through each step.
05-10-2016
4:07 pm
Option B. I like printable.
05-10-2016
4:09 pm
I would prefer B. I like being able to refer to printed materials.
05-10-2016
4:09 pm
B. I like printables.
05-10-2016
4:10 pm
Option A definitely !
05-10-2016
4:14 pm
Option A – I can generally learn how to use software on my own, but seeing how someone else applies the software would be most meaningful to me. I can always refer to a software manual, but watching someone else in action would have more meaning for me! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!!
05-10-2016
4:15 pm
A – definitely. I would much rather have videos, I guess I’m just a visual learner.
05-10-2016
4:17 pm
A, with videos. I like using written instructions on my own, but having the videos would be an added help. I love the videos that are included with the software, and they made it much easier to start using EQ.
05-10-2016
4:18 pm
B. I find the paper directions easier to refer to.
05-10-2016
4:18 pm
B I like a paper copy.

B – I prefer to have something written that I can refer to after the class is over. I don’t always catch everything the instructors say, and the words in print really help me do things the right way.
05-10-2016
4:20 pm
B. I need the reference. Yet I do really well when I watch someone. It imprints better in this aging brain. Of course you don’t want to hear both because that is the best option. I do know that somehow you’ll make it all be great.
05-10-2016
4:20 pm
B) I like to have a printed set of notes to refer back after a class is finished
05-10-2016
4:21 pm
B. Prefer the printed material.
05-10-2016
4:22 pm
I would prefer B that way I can learn at my own passe.
05-10-2016
4:28 pm
I much prefer selection B (online class with printable step-by-step lessons) – I am an analytical learner and pick-up quickly from reading – plus, I like having a printed reference when needed…I rather spend my time sewing/quilting/creating instead of watching a video.
05-10-2016
4:28 pm
Option A. I’m just realizing how useful video tutorials are, and I love being able to watch someone go through all the steps – and make mistakes, too. Watching someone else click the wrong thing – and recover – is a great way to reduce the fear associated with trying something new.
05-10-2016
4:31 pm
Hard one. Printable instructions. Clear and concise printable instructions are easier to use since you can learn at your own pace and review previous progress . But I do love the video. The video introduces you to topics that you would not have considered otherwise. Good for tips as well as detailed instruction.
05-10-2016
4:32 pm
B -I prefer handouts
05-10-2016
4:33 pm
B I prefer to refer back to printables
05-10-2016
4:33 pm
I would prefer B. I like to have hard copies.
05-10-2016
4:34 pm
B would be my preference
05-10-2016
4:35 pm
A wins. But it’s a close call.
05-10-2016
4:38 pm
I think B. I like videos but I love having lessons I can save and look back at and page through. Love my Electric Quilt!!!
05-10-2016
4:39 pm
Option B – It is much easier to a written reference while you are working in a program.
05-10-2016
4:41 pm
I choose B. I think better with a pencil in my hand and paper on my desk.
05-10-2016
4:42 pm
I think A, if you can watch it over and over again, like on Craftsy.
05-10-2016
4:46 pm
It is easy to forget visual instructions, especially if you don’t use them long enough to embed the process. Printed backup is faster and is always available to refresh the memory.
05-10-2016
4:50 pm
printable steps please
05-10-2016
4:51 pm
I would like option A
05-10-2016
4:55 pm
Option B would work better for me.
05-10-2016
4:56 pm
B took online courses before and after the course, I had refer to the notes.
05-10-2016
4:57 pm
Since I actually have to choose between the two, I’m going to have to say B.
05-10-2016
4:59 pm
I love video instructions, even if I do have to watch them several times to remember the details. A picture is worth a thousand words, and a video is worth a million!
05-10-2016
4:59 pm
I would prefer to learn EQ with online class with a video lesson. I never print out things anymore, too much waste. If it is online I can watch again when I need to.
05-10-2016
5:02 pm
I would choose “B.” I do like videos because like audio tapes you can not pinpoint a specific place that you want to remember, or go back to see/listen again.
05-10-2016
5:05 pm
Option A.
I’m visual .
05-10-2016
5:08 pm
B
05-10-2016
5:08 pm
B-I would rather have printed lessons so I can refer to them OFTEN. Don’t get me wrong……I also love your videos but it’s harder to go back through a video to find my “problem solver”.
05-10-2016
5:08 pm
Printed step by step
05-10-2016
5:08 pm
Option A
05-10-2016
5:10 pm
Let’s get it
05-10-2016
5:11 pm
I prefer A, despite videos taking long to load up.
05-10-2016
5:13 pm
I prefer B step by step so I can read it anytime I need them.
05-10-2016
5:14 pm
B I like having something to look at and refer back to when I am doing it myself.
05-10-2016
5:19 pm
I would prefer video and thank you for the opportunity to win.
05-10-2016
5:25 pm
I think I would prefer B as I seem to have a short memory these days. With B I could go back and check my memory. Thank you very much for your wonderful give a ways and for your software, EQ7 I had EQ5 years ago and it was great until my computer crashed and I lost every thing. Henri
05-10-2016
5:26 pm
B!
05-10-2016
5:28 pm
B – I’m a visual and detail learner.
05-10-2016
5:28 pm
I would prefer option B
05-10-2016
5:29 pm
Option B would be the best choice for me. I like to have a printed resource that I can refer to.
05-10-2016
5:32 pm
B – I like to have printed out directions!
05-10-2016
5:34 pm
Since I can’t choose both video and printed which I think is the BEST option….I choose ‘B’
05-10-2016
5:34 pm
Option B would be my choice.
05-10-2016
5:39 pm
Option B is for me! I like to keep notebookson learning materials!!
05-10-2016
5:40 pm
I’d prefer B. I’m a refer back at your leisure kind of girl
05-10-2016
5:42 pm
I choose option B – I’m sure it will be helpful to view the video but I always like to have printed directions. I seem to learn better by having written directions to refer to over and over again.
05-10-2016
5:45 pm
I prefer to have the booklets. As time goes by and a new project comes along I would be able to go look something up in a book. Videos come and go but a book is always available. Also, I can write explanations in the margins but not on a video. My choice would be B.
05-10-2016
5:45 pm
B – I like to be able to study the lessons when not at my computer.
05-10-2016
5:47 pm
I tend to get impatient with video, since I read and comprehend much faster than that, so I prefer printables (but PDFs, right? I don’t actually want anything on physical paper!).
05-10-2016
5:50 pm
B. Online class with printable step-by-step lessons (no videos)
I am able to learn better this way and I don’t have a lot of time to watch a video
05-10-2016
5:50 pm
Online class with printable lessons
05-10-2016
5:52 pm
Definitely A-video! Craftsy classes are done this way and they are very effective learning tools. The videos are accessible forever once you subscribe to them. Most are around $40 but they do go on sale periodically. I think a very large target audience could be captured by offering the video classes at a reasonable price. It doesn’t require travel, can be viewed anytime of the day or night and can be viewed as many times as needed. You are able to learn at your own speed depending on your skill level and experience with technology.
05-10-2016
5:54 pm
A
05-10-2016
5:55 pm
B – I like to learn at my own pace. Videos usually move through things to quickly. It’s also easier to refer back for information when it’s printed.
05-10-2016
5:55 pm
Definitely B.
05-10-2016
5:56 pm
B. I’ve taken on line classes on EQ inthe past. The classes were through Quilt University, and were printable lessons. For EQ5, and I still refer back to the lessons materials. Their format was done with Threads and you could print those as well.
05-10-2016
5:57 pm
B
05-10-2016
6:02 pm
B please. Much easier to go back and review.
05-10-2016
6:02 pm
A- I can learn from printed materials, but I learn more when I hear and see the material I’m trying to learn.
05-10-2016
6:05 pm
Most definitely A, online videos at my time of day in Aussieland when I want….
05-10-2016
6:08 pm
I would prefer the A. That would be more like a classroom setting. Thanks for the giveaway.
05-10-2016
6:08 pm
Unless you have 2 screens, there does an age where a paper copy of instructions comes in handy, especially when there are multiple steps.
B.thanks
05-10-2016
6:08 pm
Definitely A, it has to be visual or it would be waste of time for me.
05-10-2016
6:10 pm
I would like to see printable lessons, rather than video’s. We have to pay for our internet bandwidth and it gets rather expensive to have something that is streaming, so the old fashioned way would be best for me. Thank you for asking.
05-10-2016
6:12 pm
Although I am a visual learner, I would choose ‘B’ because I would definitely need printable instructions to refer back to.
05-10-2016
6:13 pm
I would prefer the printed material
05-10-2016
6:14 pm
Definitely “B. Online class with printable step-by-step lessons (no videos).” I can read through instructions much more quickly than watching a video, plus they written instructions are easier to refer back to to clarify or remember a point. Besides, I’m hard of hearing and frequently can’t understand everything that is said even with my new hearing aid.
05-10-2016
6:14 pm
B is my choice. I like having printables to make notes and to refer to later. Too bad one choice wasn’t for all three: on-line class with video and printables.
05-10-2016
8:55 pm
I prefer printed lessons. I would select option B.
05-10-2016
6:15 pm
B I prefer both ways!
05-10-2016
6:15 pm
I would prefer A. I need to learn mine.
05-10-2016
6:16 pm
I would prefer printed soI can have it right there.
05-10-2016
6:17 pm
B
05-10-2016
6:17 pm
That is a hard one! I like to the print-outs to refer to, but watching it does make it easier. And since I have 2 computer monitors hooked up to my computer, I can watch and do at the same time. So my choice would be A.
05-10-2016
6:21 pm
A watching easier for me than printing all that stuff out
05-10-2016
6:21 pm
B would be my choice because I would have ‘hard copy’ to refer back to. I still think practice is the best teacher of all.
05-10-2016
6:22 pm
A
05-10-2016
6:23 pm
B. Being able to refer back to material and not flip between screens is really helpful when learning on the computer.
05-10-2016
6:24 pm
I like printed lessons so I can go back at any time but to see it once would be helpful. They always go too fast for me.
05-10-2016
6:28 pm
A
05-10-2016
6:28 pm
I think B would be good.
05-10-2016
6:33 pm
A but I would prefer to have a choice of also using printable material that went along with the lesson.
05-10-2016
6:33 pm
A would work great for me. I can watch video over if it didn’t click the first time.
05-10-2016
6:36 pm
I would prefer option “A”.
05-10-2016
6:44 pm
B. That “old school” hard copy preference is hard to shake.
05-10-2016
6:48 pm
B, easier to go back and check notes
05-10-2016
6:50 pm
B. I want the hard copy to go back over later on
05-10-2016
6:54 pm
If I can rematch the videos numerous times then I’d like this method. Otherwise the printable. Both would be my ideal preference.
05-10-2016
6:56 pm
B. except what would be online if it wasn’t a video? I’ve purchased a couple of your books and I like the step by step instructions.
05-10-2016
6:57 pm
A would be better for me.
05-10-2016
7:00 pm
B – I might not print everything, but I need that option. Especially for those features that I don’t use very often. I like having the instructions at the ready.
05-10-2016
7:00 pm
A
05-10-2016
7:05 pm
Definitely A, I like watching!
05-10-2016
7:06 pm
I choose B. Prefer to have papers in front of me when doing the task.

7:06 pm
B. This way I am able to go back and review at a later date.
05-10-2016

A would be great!
05-10-2016
7:08 pm

05-10-2016
7:12 pm
B I can reread the lessons.
05-10-2016
7:14 pm
I prefer option B. I like to be able to refer to the lessons later.
05-10-2016
7:19 pm
I prefer A
05-10-2016
7:23 pm
I prefer B. I like to have materials to refer back to.
05-10-2016
7:25 pm
I choose B since I can follow the directions and it would be less expensive
05-10-2016
7:29 pm
a Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons)
05-10-2016
7:29 pm
If I have to choose only one, I would prefer A.
05-10-2016
7:30 pm
That’s a tough one but I think I would prefer B.
05-10-2016
7:31 pm
I vote A – hopefully the video access would always be available !! I definitely learn by watching !
05-10-2016
7:32 pm
B but I’ both.
05-10-2016
7:32 pm
I just attended EQ Academy, and I have also enjoyed EQ online classes without video. The lively presentation by teachers is invaluable, but to reinforce learning an outline is important. Barb Vlack, my academy teacher, had lively presentations AND great, detailed handouts. How about video presentations with download PDF outlines?
05-10-2016
7:33 pm
I would prefer online class with printable lessons
05-10-2016
7:34 pm
b, with out videos. I never find time to watch them
05-10-2016
7:35 pm
‘A’ works for me! I love to learn from videos.
05-10-2016
7:42 pm
I would prefer A as I’m more of a visual learner.
05-10-2016
7:45 pm
Definitely B–I have a couple of the EQ books and find that I refer back to them for specific quilts–there’s so much in EQ that I may not use those tools, etc for each quilt and need to refer back at times.
05-10-2016
7:47 pm
My preference is A, as I can follow the videos as I am learning, pause and playback when I find something difficult.
05-10-2016
7:48 pm
I would choose A if the videos are very complete. Preferably all three. What a pain I am.
05-10-2016
7:49 pm
Since I can only choose one, then make it “A”. As so many others, I would prefer all the above.
05-10-2016
7:52 pm
I would prefer B. I need to something to refer to after the lesson.
05-10-2016
7:54 pm
It depends. I guess A. Generally I prefer to have something to refer to, but sometimes I don’t want to waste paper printing things out.
05-10-2016
7:55 pm
I prefer the printed where I can make my own notes that only mean something to me. Sometimes I only need to check one little thing and the printed copy is faster for me than anything else.
05-10-2016
7:56 pm
B printable instructions so I can go back and refer to them.
05-10-2016
7:56 pm

05-10-2016
7:57 pm
I’m one of the older generation that still like paper! I like to be able to make notes on my lessons, and go at my own pace!
05-10-2016
8:00 pm
B – it’s nice to have the option to print as needed.
05-10-2016
8:02 pm
I learned EQ7 hands on by reading the manual and trying the modules one chapter at a time. I use the manual often to remind me of details I may have forgotten. I like doing the lessons also to learn a new technique.
05-10-2016
8:04 pm
I choose B.
05-10-2016
8:05 pm

05-10-2016
8:08 pm

8:14 pm
B is my choice so I can right notes and review the lesson(s) without using my computer.
05-10-2016
8:15 pm
A. I need to see it, then practice it. I don’t use the manual as much as I should to learn the software, so the videos might inspire me to get my hands on the keyboard and start really learning all EQ7 can do.
05-10-2016
8:17 pm
B is my choice to allow for note taking and later a review when I am waiting at a Dr’s office or just “cooling my jets” after a busy day.
05-10-2016
8:18 pm
B. I like step by step, that way I can work at my own pace.
05-10-2016
8:19 pm
I would like B Sometimes it gets tiresome to constantly back up and review again.
05-10-2016
8:23 pm
I would prefer A as long as I could watch at my leisure.
05-10-2016
8:24 pm
I would prefer B, online classes and printables.
05-10-2016
8:27 pm

9:17 pm
Printed form please.
05-10-2016
9:18 pm
Videos are a good starting point but if something takes a bit of time to understand, I think the printables would enable me to go over the same point many times to ‘get’it so I go for B.
05-10-2016
9:20 pm
B
05-10-2016
9:27 pm

05-10-2016
9:43 pm

05-10-2016
9:44 pm
B — I would like to print the lessons and keep them for reference.
05-10-2016
9:44 pm
A

Of these two choices I prefer printed materials. These are nice to refer back to as needed when working with the software.
05-10-2016

B- I like to have a reference for when I forget. I can read the instructions more than once if I dont understand.
05-10-2016
9:47 pm
B so I can follow along at my own pace
05-10-2016
9:47 pm
I prefer option A, but would like the option to have printable lessons as well. Sometimes I only need to review a portion of a lesson, so it can be time-consuming to re-watch the whole video.
05-10-2016
9:53 pm
A- I do better when I see how to do something. Reading it doesn’t always make sense to me.
05-10-2016
9:57 pm
B! I learn best by reading, then doing hands-on. I still have all my printed out lessons from Quilt University from Patti and Fran…and I do still refer to them sometimes!
05-10-2016
10:01 pm

05-10-2016
10:11 pm
Option A would be my choice. That way I can compare what video shows to my screen.
05-10-2016
10:12 pm
Definitely A! I feel that I can learn much more by watching and observing than by reading!
05-10-2016
10:12 pm
I love videos but I find I can learn much better from written instructions. So I’d have to say I’d prefer Option B.
05-10-2016
10:13 pm
B for me. I always like to have printed material (or PDF) available to view)
05-10-2016
10:15 pm
I would rather have online classes
05-10-2016
10:17 pm
I would prefer B – that way I could print out lessons and continue to refresh myself — although both would be the best alternative!!
05-10-2016
10:18 pm
Let’s make it happen
05-10-2016
10:19 pm
I would prefer A with anytime access to video lesson. Visuals are the best way for me to learn an new technique.
05-10-2016
10:19 pm
B – Then I could print out the directions and refer back to them later
05-10-2016
10:22 pm
B. I love online classes but love hard copy to make notes and reference again later.
05-10-2016
10:24 pm
I prefer A…as long as I can view it as many times as I want. Things just make more sense to me if I can see it done. Thanks!
05-10-2016
10:25 pm
I like to have the printed instructions so I would say B. Thanks for the generous giveaway.
05-10-2016
10:25 pm
I would say A. I think viewing and hands-on works every time!
05-10-2016
10:36 pm
I would say ‘B”; that way I can print the instructions and follow along as needed.
05-10-2016
10:37 pm
B even though it uses trees. I like to take my time following the directions and having them to refer to at a later date
05-10-2016
10:37 pm
I think I would prefer the printable lessons so that I could review them as needed.
05-10-2016
10:43 pm
I think B is more helpful.
05-10-2016
10:44 pm
Choice B would be best for me. With printouts you can always go back and quickly find the reference or steps you are looking for.
05-10-2016
10:46 pm
B–Having EQ7 open at same time as video sounds awkward. Also when reviewing, I find scanning printed material easier than searching videos.
05-10-2016
10:48 pm
I prefer A. It is easier to understand instructions when you can see some one actually doing the task. Written material can be left open to interpretation at times.
05-10-2016
10:51 pm
B like to be able to go back over things to learn better
05-10-2016
10:52 pm
I prefer B. I like printable instructions because they are easy to refer back to.
05-10-2016
10:52 pm
A. Online classes with full video lessons. Having the ability to watch what someone is doing is highly beneficial. You can pause the video, try the process yourself to see how it works or if you miss a step go back and watch it again.
05-10-2016
10:53 pm
I think I would like an online class with full video. To see how each step is done and proceed to the next step.
05-10-2016
10:54 pm
I think option B would be great! Thanks and God bless!
05-10-2016
11:00 pm
I would want B–the printable lessons would be a wonderful long lasting resource.
05-10-2016
11:02 pm
A video
05-10-2016
11:05 pm
I would take choice B as you could work through the lessons at your pace with video to help you understand and show you how the program works.
05-10-2016
11:05 pm
A
05-10-2016
11:07 pm
B I would like to be able to print the material for reference.
05-10-2016
11:10 pm
B would be my choice because I learn by doing it myself, but need the steps to follow and repetition to remember it
05-10-2016
11:25 pm
I like classes with print-outs that I can refer back to later.
05-10-2016
11:26 pm
Option “B”. I’m still old school and like printed instructions that I can make notes on and/or highlight.
05-10-2016
11:33 pm
A – I’m a visual learner. However, I would hope the videos would be available to replay as needed.
05-10-2016
11:43 pm
B – I like having the printed version to refer to!
05-10-2016
11:49 pm
I would say A.
05-10-2016
11:52 pm
I would choose B as my ideal way to learn. I need to see and refer back to information.
05-10-2016
11:54 pm
A
05-11-2016
12:01 am
I like B
05-11-2016
12:04 am
I would prefer to learn by video.
05-11-2016
12:06 am
I like the video option better. I design machine embroidered quilts and find it is very difficult to convey instructions in written form. Everyone processes information differently.
05-11-2016
12:07 am
A-please…show me once and I can learn!
05-11-2016
12:08 am
B. Prefer printed instruction
05-11-2016
12:12 am
I would say B. Printed material to refresh ones memory or go over again is how I retain new information the best!
05-11-2016
12:13 am
I would chose “A”.
05-11-2016
12:18 am
A – I like videos so I can go back and look up them. Plus they do not take up as much shelf room.
05-11-2016
12:20 am
I would like B.
05-11-2016
12:20 am
B- printed copy makes it easier to go back and review.
05-11-2016
12:25 am
I’d take B.
05-11-2016
12:29 am
I would choose. B. Online class with printable step-by-step lessons (no videos). But with a video or two for added help.
05-11-2016
12:29 am
I like to print out my instructions when I can so B would be best. To bad we cant get it both ways because that would be really great.
05-11-2016
12:32 am
I also would prefer option B so that I can have the printed instructions on hand when I need them
05-11-2016
12:45 am
Definitely B for me, as many times video go slower than I can go
05-11-2016
12:45 am
I think I would prefer online video, but with the ability to stop and take notes and practice the directions. It’s interesting to see how others learn, so I think both should be actually offered. Not everyone will want to print the lesson, but most would want time to take notes and practice.
05-11-2016
12:54 am
Definitely A!
05-11-2016
1:00 am
If I could choose only one, it would be “B”, because I would need to refer back to the notes again and again, I’m sure.
05-11-2016
1:09 am
Definitely would select B. Always handy to have written directions along with video
05-11-2016
1:41 am
I prefer A. Learn better by watching and being able follow along.
05-11-2016
1:51 am
Definitly b
05-11-2016
1:59 am
I think A
05-11-2016
2:02 am
I choose you because I am not English powerful it is sometimes very difficult to understand EQ7, video lessons can be understood in any language?
05-11-2016
2:09 am
A. I could replay something I didn’t quite catch the first time and also endeavor to be more environmentally friendly by not printing off so much paper.
05-11-2016
2:09 am
I would prefer A.
05-11-2016
2:28 am
A for me.
05-11-2016
2:38 am
Option B, please.
05-11-2016
2:49 am
I vote for the printable version. I can highlight sections that I will use many times or that give me trouble. Can also add notes of my own (ie do this for that project).
05-11-2016
3:01 am
I would pick B. The more notes the better for me.
05-11-2016
3:04 am
I would much prefer A!
05-11-2016
3:10 am
A for sure.
05-11-2016
3:24 am
I would say A because I am a visual learner to me it is the quickest way to learn.
05-11-2016
3:44 am
I would choose A. I would follow along and try techniques with my software all at the same time.
05-11-2016
3:55 am
I prefer the printed page so I could have it right beside me as I am working through the steps.
05-11-2016
3:55 am
I would say B as it’s handy to refer to written instructions to check on your progress
05-11-2016
4:11 am
I would prefer A.
05-11-2016
4:36 am
If I had to choose I would go with A. I like to be able to see it done I can always rewatch or take notes.
05-11-2016
4:43 am
I would like to keep the instructions for reference. Even though I am a visual learner, getting older tends to leave one with a somewhat shorter retention ability. I prefer to have notes to prompt my memory.
Thank you,
Wanda
05-11-2016
4:46 am
I learn computing information better with written materials like Option B, because I need the paperwork to help me with the ‘petty details’ that I would miss in the excitement of watching a video. I learn machine quilting (a practical skill) better by video.
05-11-2016
4:55 am
I prefer the printable version.
05-11-2016
5:04 am
A. I am a visual learner, and love the pause / rewind buttons.
05-11-2016
5:12 am
A
05-11-2016
5:13 am
I would choose B so I could watch the video then follow the step by step instructions at my own pace. I like to watch then do.
05-11-2016
5:20 am
A
05-11-2016
12:44 pm
I prefer written instructions. It is difficult to remember all the steps
05-11-2016
6:01 am
Option B – having a printable version for quick reference would be easier for me than having to find the right spot in a video lesson.
05-11-2016
6:28 am
A video lesson works best for me!
05-11-2016
6:36 am
B Printable lesson
05-11-2016
6:45 am
A or B, both would be good. How about video with printed instructions?
05-11-2016
10:40 am
That would great for me too
05-11-2016
6:49 am
I like A better.
05-11-2016
6:54 am
I prefer videos
05-11-2016
6:54 am
I prefer A
05-11-2016
7:06 am
B. I like videos, but when I want to really learn something I do better with written instructions!
05-11-2016
7:18 am
I prefer printed. Videos are bad for early mornings. I hate to wake up others in my house.
05-11-2016
7:18 am
If I could only choose one, I’d go with B. printable lessons. Though I would definitely prefer both.
05-11-2016
7:19 am
Option B please. I learn better with lessons printed out that I can study and review. : )
05-11-2016
7:21 am
B – that way I can take my time or fit it into my schedule even if it has to be a little step at a time.
05-11-2016
7:25 am
A
05-11-2016
7:28 am
B would be my preferred choice.
05-11-2016
7:28 am
A
05-11-2016
7:52 am
B. Easier to refer back to after the class is over.
05-11-2016
8:00 am
Option B for me.
05-11-2016
8:14 am
A…online class with full video lessons
05-11-2016
8:30 am
i am voting for B ….as for me i request you write the instructions as though you are teaching a first grader….when you are watching the online class you are totally focused…you think..ok i got this….it is now 10pm…i am on my own…and everything is now clear as mud very clear and very concise directions are so important.
thanks for the great give-a-ways!
05-11-2016
8:34 am
B. With printed instructions it is easier for me to actually physically follow the steps using my computer. It would also help to have illustrations with the written instructions. I would like to have both but since I have to choose B would be my choice.
05-11-2016
10:29 am
Me too
05-11-2016
8:37 am
B. I like having written instructions that I can refer back to after the class. It also means I don’t have to take lots of notes during the class and can simply focus on what’s being taught.
05-11-2016
8:42 am
Option B. I like to be able to look at the directions as I am working through a lesson.
05-11-2016
8:43 am
Option B. I like to have the printed instructions near as I am working through the lesson.
05-11-2016
8:43 am
A- I love a good video tutorial!
05-11-2016
8:44 am
Option B. I like having the printed instructions near as I am working through a lesson.
05-11-2016
8:48 am
A
05-11-2016
8:49 am
B. prefer written instructions to refer back to and make notes on.
05-11-2016
9:14 am
Option B. It would be so much easier to refer back to printed materials when in a pinch.
05-11-2016
9:30 am
B. then I have the Print outs to refer to without viewing a video.
05-11-2016
9:33 am
Option B; I prefer having written instructions to refer to.
05-11-2016
9:36 am
Option A. is the best — you can review the video any time you want to — don’t like too much paper in the work area.
05-11-2016
9:44 am
B – printable instructions
05-11-2016
9:46 am
A. Online with video so I can use my Ipad by sewing machine
05-11-2016
9:53 am
A as long as I could access the lessons anytime and all the time
05-11-2016
9:57 am
I would prefer written instructions.
05-11-2016
9:59 am
I like printed instructions. I don’t seem to remember instructions on videos.
05-11-2016
10:06 am
Definitely a printable lesson, so I can refer back to it often as needed. Something set up the way the tutorials are would be perfect!
05-11-2016
10:10 am
B, I like to have printed reference material.
05-11-2016
10:23 am
I prefer both If I had to choose one it would be (B) I like having the printed instructions near as I am working through a video lesson. That way I can write notes on the printable
05-11-2016
10:29 am
b
05-11-2016
10:33 am
I would do an online class with printable step by step instructions. I need to be able to touch the paper and have two pages up at one time. I start and stop video too much.
05-11-2016
10:39 am
Definitely ‘B’. I find it easier to learn and review lessons at my own speed, also I can look at the printed lesson while having my EQ7 open to follow the steps. Plus I can look up points of interest even when I’m not on the internet.
05-11-2016
10:42 am
I am much happier working with paper, so option B would be my choice.
05-11-2016
10:44 am
I would like working with paper instead of video. Too much clicking back and forth.
05-11-2016
10:44 am
option b: it is easier to refer to a printout at a later date.
05-11-2016
10:50 am
I would like “B”. Printed materials are easier to use.
05-11-2016
10:57 am
I like option A because it would be helpful to have a printout.
05-11-2016
11:05 am
I definitely would opt for A
Thank you
Sandra
05-11-2016
11:09 am
A, videos are great.
05-11-2016
11:10 am
I prefer B. I can go at my own pace not the one set by a video,. Can easily go back to look at previous material – a video makes it hard to find the place in the small frame strip. Videos don’t always have the best view of a step. verbal instructions on a film can’t be reread. I don’t mind an added video where I can see it done but the hard copy is more reliable and ususally better edited.
05-11-2016
11:10 am
printable step by step lessons
05-11-2016
11:12 am
B, please. And I would LOVE to have them read like the EQ 2 book did….do a few things, congrats -go get a cup of coffee….wonder how many remember that!?
05-11-2016
11:18 am
A! I want to watch it happen.
05-11-2016
11:23 am
I prefer option B with printable step by step for easy referral.
05-11-2016
11:26 am
B – for easy reference
05-11-2016
11:52 am
A – video, it is the greener choice. Right now the lessons I have taken require nearly 30 pages of printing – yowsa! then I have to find a way to store it and keep it organized. We already have permanent access when we buy – so I can always refer back to a lesson if I want.
05-11-2016
12:01 pm
I like to have handouts so I can review and review. So B would be the logical choice for me. Thanks.
05-11-2016
12:02 pm
B. I like to have the printed instructions next to my computer. I can’t “do” and watch at the same time. I often use my computer resources to print out instructions if a PFD isn’t included.
05-11-2016
12:18 pm
B. I like to have it in print to refer to at my leisure. And for those worried about actually printing the instructions, I save them to an app such as Evernote and refer to them from that rather than printing.
05-11-2016
12:20 pm
A i’m an auto and visual learner.
05-11-2016
12:22 pm
B I would rather have a printed version to refer to as I’m working.
05-11-2016
12:28 pm
B.
05-11-2016
12:28 pm
I’d prefer B so I could print; then review later.
05-11-2016
12:35 pm
B
05-11-2016
12:51 pm
Online class with printable instructions for future reference.
05-11-2016
1:00 pm
Option B
05-11-2016
1:02 pm
Definately Option “B”. If I read it, I retain it. Not so with visual aids.
05-11-2016
1:04 pm
I would choose A – full video lessons – as long as they are always accessible to refer back to later on.
05-11-2016
1:06 pm
I would prefer B – with printed instructions. This way they can be referred to again and again. Thanks!
05-11-2016
1:12 pm
Option B, with printable instructions!
05-11-2016
1:17 pm
B -although I am a visual learner the written instructions are great to add notes and to refer to later.
05-11-2016
1:23 pm
I would prefer the printable instructions to hold in my lap and look over once I get on my own without a video making it look so easy. I always think I know what I’m doing after watching a video, but slow as my reflexes are, I sometimes cannot remember what to do once I find the right button to click!
05-11-2016
1:32 pm
A- online class with video! I can always refer back to the way you’ve shown me but may repeat a mistake if I ‘re-read’ written directions!
05-11-2016
1:36 pm
A. Save the forest.
05-11-2016
1:37 pm
A
05-11-2016
1:38 pm
I prefer written instructions so I can refer to them at any later time.
05-11-2016
1:42 pm
Option A
05-11-2016
2:07 pm
Option A! I love video these days…
05-11-2016
2:14 pm
Option B id my preference. Videos confuse me and I can’t remember the steps. WHen I have printed materials I can repeat and review until I “get” it.
05-11-2016
2:15 pm
B as it is hard for me to remember all the details and steps. To save trees, put the writing in PDF format. That way I can save it and review it later when questions arise.
05-11-2016
2:15 pm
Videos are helpful…but like the Printed version best…easier to look up right spot too.. I choose Version B
Thank you for chance to win your Give-a-way too!
05-11-2016
2:21 pm
A – Much as I’d like something printable to refer to specific parts of a lesson, I would rather not have the option to print something out. Even a portable document format is too tempting to print out, possibly several times, wasting paper and ink. Videos provide audio and visual lessons that seem to stay with me longer.
05-11-2016
2:26 pm
B I prefer a printed reference.
05-11-2016
3:16 pm
If I can only have it one way or the other, I prefer B. Step by step written directions. For me, the ideal really is the disallowed answer of “both.” The ideal learning scenario is to watch the video and then have the written step-by-step to refer to while I work in EQ to practice what I had learned.
05-11-2016
3:17 pm
Printed instructions to keep as reference are best for me.
05-11-2016
3:34 pm
B would be best for me.
05-11-2016
3:40 pm
I think option A, as long as it is easily paused and back-tracked a little (over and over!).
05-11-2016
4:06 pm
Definitely B. Online class with printable step-by-step lessons (no videos)
I really like to refer to and view hard copy instructions.
05-11-2016
4:15 pm
B so I don’t have to have the computer charged at the same time I am learning
05-11-2016
4:19 pm
A
05-11-2016
4:24 pm
IF Ii can only have one method, I would prefer written, printable instructions because it is easy to refer back to them later. I am a visual learner though so I would love having access to both!
05-11-2016
4:31 pm
I prefer the written instructions – easier to refer to.
05-11-2016
4:33 pm
(B) I prefer printable directions
05-11-2016
4:53 pm
I would prefer B although you’re making me choose between two very good learning methods.
05-11-2016
5:20 pm
I do best with printed material! I always print out your PDF lessons.
05-11-2016
5:31 pm
I choose B. Going step by step with written instruction helps me to retain what I am being taught.
05-11-2016
5:47 pm
B
05-11-2016
5:53 pm
I prefer “A” with video lessons.
05-11-2016
6:20 pm
Videos are easier for me to understand and learn by but I know they are probably more time consuming for you.
05-11-2016
6:24 pm
If one is forced to choose, I would have to say B.
05-11-2016
6:44 pm
I would choose B as i have limited download and i can also look at the next step or go back a set if i have do not understand or find the icon
05-11-2016
6:54 pm
Hmmm. I suppose A would work for me. I’m a visual learner.
05-11-2016
7:01 pm
I’d have to say B, although it’s more how to ask questions/clarify that I’d be more concerned about.
05-11-2016
7:12 pm
If I can only pick one, I would say B – my laptop has a smaller screen; hard to toggle between online and the software.
05-11-2016
7:16 pm
I would have to choose ‘B’, to have the choice of printing.
05-11-2016
7:20 pm
I think I would rather have videos to watch. I learn better seeing than reading.

7:48 pm
I prefer having printed material so I can immediately find the information I need, so B!
05-11-2016
7:49 pm
B. I would want something to refer to after the class is over.
05-11-2016
7:55 pm
Definitely A. I love to learn with video classes and watch it being done. I like being able to watch it over and over it.
05-11-2016
8:04 pm
B, I learn better by reading.
05-11-2016
8:22 pm
Definitely B. Then you have something to look back on later
05-11-2016
8:28 pm
Videos! While printables to refer to later can e helpful, there is no substitute for seeing something new in action.
05-11-2016
8:29 pm
I would choose A. Videos are very helpful. Thanks, and Happy Anniversary!
05-11-2016
8:56 pm
I prefer B.
05-11-2016
9:04 pm
B
05-11-2016
9:04 pm
A as long as the
videos can be watched at anytime for reference
05-11-2016
9:05 pm
I would choose B. I find watching a step by step process very tedious.
05-11-2016
9:07 pm
B. I have a book for an older version of EQ. I Loved following the exercises through. That’s how I really got going.
05-11-2016
9:19 pm
I would choose B.
05-11-2016
9:20 pm
I would probably choose B, so I can download it and work on it as I have the time.
05-11-2016
9:21 pm
I would like b. Have been reading the book and practicing for a long while but still have mot managed well.
05-11-2016
9:25 pm
I would choose b.
05-11-2016
9:29 pm
I think B.
05-11-2016
9:42 pm
I think B is the best way to learn
05-11-2016
9:42 pm
I would choose B as I like to refer back the the written pages as I am sewing. That way I have less mistakes.
05-11-2016
9:55 pm
I would prefer A as long as the videos were always accessible. Notes are great but after a while it is easy to forget what you saw or did. Thanks for the chance to win.
05-11-2016
9:57 pm
I choose “B” – it’s easier to refer to printed material than to go back and forth in a video.
05-11-2016
10:08 pm
I will have to choose’B'; although I would love the video for seeing how things come together quickly and finding my errors, I would need the print out to cement each step in my mind.
05-11-2016
10:16 pm
Both ways are ideal, however, I would choose B becauseI like to have a paper copy to follow, I find it much easier to work at my speed.
05-11-2016
10:40 pm
A
05-11-2016
10:44 pm
A – I like to watch the videos to learn.
05-11-2016
10:52 pm
My choice is A.
05-11-2016
11:07 pm
I would want option A. I can replay the video anytime. I am more visual and hands-on.
05-11-2016
11:15 pm
Videos are my preference – A!
05-11-2016
11:19 pm
I think I would rather have the videos as I have most of the EQ books so I can look at them for written instructions- I think it is easier when you can see someone doing something.
05-11-2016
11:47 pm
I prefer B, so I can do the steps immediately on my computer. With video lessons it is cumbersome to switch between doing and referring, unless you have two computers side by side.
05-11-2016
11:54 pm
I prefer “B”. Tho I like pictures, having written instructions to refer to id even better.
05-11-2016
11:56 pm
B, then I can read the instructions and refresh my memory as I go.
05-12-2016
12:11 am
I would choose A. I´m a visual learner and i already have the companion book (German edition).
05-12-2016
12:56 am
A. I learn better by watching.
05-12-2016
1:21 am
I would like to use A, work along with instructions
05-12-2016
1:56 am
I prefer on-line with video. I am a visual learner, and sometimes just the written word just doesn’t make sense, and I get frustrated trying to figure out the lesson. I find I like being able to rewind and watch a sept over and over if need be.

1:57 am
I’d prefer A to learn the software.
05-12-2016
2:40 am
An on-line video can be frustrating to watch if your internet connection is being throttled by your ISP so I would have to go with option B. You can also jot down notes on the printable lessons.
05-12-2016
6:13 am
My answer has to be A – videos please. I guess I am a visual learner…
Thanks.
05-12-2016
6:13 am
I prefer option B
05-12-2016
6:18 am
I am A all the way. The visual is most effective for me,
05-12-2016
6:19 am
I will choose B
05-12-2016
6:19 am
I’m a type “B”… I’ll read something repeatedly until it sticks in my brain!
05-12-2016
6:20 am
I would choose B
05-12-2016
6:21 am
B, so I could refresh my memory if needed without watching entire video. But both would be better!
05-12-2016
6:26 am
B would be my preferred method.
05-12-2016
6:27 am
A. I need to see
05-12-2016
6:28 am
I’ll choose A but it is very very close!
05-12-2016
6:30 am
Выбираю B. Но лучше если бы наиболее сложные темы были еще и плюс с видео файлом.
05-12-2016
6:31 am
I prefer B.
05-12-2016
6:31 am
I like video so I would choose A bit would want t to have access to go back and watch videos multiple times. Not just a one time access
Thank you
05-12-2016
6:34 am
The best way for me is B. Thanks!!
05-12-2016
6:35 am
I prefer B.
05-12-2016
6:40 am
I would choose A. I am truly a visual learner.
05-12-2016
6:41 am
B would work for me
05-12-2016
6:50 am
I would definitely choose B. From a business aspect of it option B would be a better no matter what. When dealing with a wide variety of customers you would need to weigh it out: 33% of your customers have high speed Internet & 67% of your customers will not have high speed. It has also proven that videos only grab the first 3 to 5 minutes of the customers attention. Printable steps give the customers options to go over the paperwork as needed.
05-12-2016
6:52 am
I would choose A, seeing it demonstrated makes it easier to understand.
05-12-2016
6:55 am
I would have to say A. If there was access to watch it as many times as I want. Thanks
05-12-2016
7:04 am
Okay, so if I have to pick just one (even though my preference would be both) I would definitely pick A. I pick things up a lot easier if I’m “seeing” it in action. So, video lessons it is. However, I sure would love some kind of script I could refer back to quickly, if I needed to!! LOL! I’m betting you’ve seen a lot of that kind of answer!
05-12-2016
7:06 am
B.
05-12-2016
7:09 am
Hard question. I would pick B. I also like to watch to learn so my real pick is not there. (video with printable backup)
05-12-2016
7:10 am
prefer B so I can refer back to the notes whenever required.
05-12-2016
7:12 am
B
05-12-2016
7:18 am
B. I could refer to the lessons when needed.
05-12-2016
7:19 am
B
05-12-2016
7:21 am
Either works for me …. But thinking new to EQ would enjoy the visual more.
Thank you!!
05-12-2016
7:25 am
I think B would be best for me.
05-12-2016
7:25 am
B is best for me
05-12-2016
7:28 am
I’m going with A as long as I can access the videos after the class for reference.
05-12-2016
7:30 am
B for me
05-12-2016
7:31 am
I would prefer B
05-12-2016
7:37 am
I like B plain & simple
05-12-2016
7:41 am
I would prefer B. I like to print the lesson and follow it step-by-step.
05-12-2016
7:43 am
I would prefer B, as I like to refer to instructional materials offline.
05-12-2016
7:48 am
I would say b because then I could do it on my own time when I have time and could always have the lessons to refer back to when I needed to.
05-12-2016
7:49 am
I think I would prefer A.
05-12-2016
7:50 am
B would be my choice.
05-12-2016
7:51 am
A for sure!
05-12-2016
7:55 am
I am definitely someone who has to learn by doing, but it’s easier to “do” if I see someone else doing it first. I’d have to choose A, although I think if you asked for a third choice, probably 99% would say BOTH!!
05-12-2016
7:59 am
Answer A would suit me better I think
05-12-2016
8:00 am
I would say B, on-line with no video, because we have very slow internet with low band width and we pay for every megabyte we download.
05-12-2016
8:05 am
My choice is B.
05-12-2016
8:16 am
Being a very visual person, definitely selection A. If I can see it, I can learn it. If I can hear it, I can learn it.
05-12-2016
8:17 am
I believe B would suit me better. It would be there for me at any time. It would be printable and I could deal with it at my leisure. And, yes, the internet speed would be a concern with the other option.
05-12-2016
8:19 am
Hmmmmmmm, tough decision! I learn better if I can see and hear instructions, so I would choose A.
05-12-2016
8:20 am
A. I am a visual learner. Show me once (or twice!) and I can do it! Love EQ.
05-12-2016
8:21 am
I would have to say A. I am a visual learner.
05-12-2016
8:25 am
I would have to say B. I need my takeaways to refer back to!
05-12-2016
8:30 am
I think B is for me having the printed material for reference after class
05-12-2016
8:40 am
I would prefer B I like to have the printable to refer back to.
05-12-2016
8:43 am
Option B
05-12-2016
8:43 am
I would most definitely choose B.
05-12-2016
8:49 am
I would prefer B. I like to be able to print out my lessons so I may learn while I am traveling with my husband or I am somewhere that I don’t have internet access.
05-12-2016
8:52 am
PS Why not have a “C” option and offer printables with the video class? That would satisfy both groups.
05-12-2016
8:50 am
I’d have to go with B. My computer takes forever to download video!
05-12-2016
8:51 am
I would choose B also. Sometimes videos go by too fast, and hitting rewind and trying to find exactly the right spot to get the information I need is tedious. Much easier to have the lessons printed out, so I can highlight things that are important to me.
05-12-2016
8:51 am
Definitely A! The ability to watch over and over is the best way for me to learn!
05-12-2016
9:01 am
A. I like visual instruction that I can watch over and over — short memory!!
05-12-2016
9:06 am
I would choose A – I prefer the video over printouts.
05-12-2016
9:08 am
I would chose B as then I could print them off and be able to read the instructions through. That way I cannot miss a step.
05-12-2016
9:12 am
‘A’ is the way I prefer to learn.
05-12-2016
9:17 am
Definitely “B.” I like to do the lessons at my pace and have the ability to go back and review the material when needed.
05-12-2016
9:20 am
Option A sounds ideal to me.
05-12-2016
9:23 am
B option would be preferred to have paper reference.
05-12-2016
9:36 am
I think I would choose option B Love my EQ
05-12-2016
9:46 am
A but it would make more sense to me to address different learning styles by having both the videos and handouts.
05-12-2016
9:50 am
I prefer “B”. With printouts it is easier to figure out where I missed a step.
05-12-2016
9:52 am
B, for sure. I really need to become more proficient with EQ!
05-12-2016
9:54 am
A would be my preference then I can watch over and over.
05-12-2016
9:54 am
I would prefer “B” as I like a hard copy to reference.
05-12-2016
9:58 am
I would prefer online class with printable instructions.
05-12-2016
10:07 am
Wish I could do both A & B. But I’m a visual learning so I’ll have to go with option A. Only need opt B for future reference because my memory is not what it used to be.
05-12-2016
10:10 am
Going with opt. A because I’m visual. Would love to have opt. B as well only because memory not what it use to be.
05-12-2016
10:15 am
I prefer B–I like having printed instructions!
05-12-2016
10:30 am
Definitely “B” or in person classes with Barb Vlack!
05-12-2016
10:30 am
Option B
05-12-2016
10:31 am
I would choose A as i have the EQ7 Manual and i would be able to use that for reference. Actually seeing someone working on the program would be very helpful especially if you could pause and rewind it and view it again.
05-12-2016
10:37 am
A – I really like online trainings with videos to refer back to.
05-12-2016
10:38 am
I would have to go with B. I prefer to read. If interrupted its easier to go back reading then to have to find your place in a video again.
05-12-2016
10:44 am
I would like B I like the old school with printed lessons to refer to.
05-12-2016
10:49 am
I choose A. I would love some videos! AND the software!
05-12-2016
10:53 am
I’d have to go with printable lessons. I like to have something in front of me.
05-12-2016
11:02 am
The best of both worlds….and the only method that works for me as a more mature learner is a printed booklet with help sessions on video. First I read and experiment…then watch a video if I still don’t quit get it! If I have to choose only one….it would be print.
05-12-2016
11:07 am
I would have to say B. I like being able to follow step by step plus being able to go straight to a spot I need if I need to redo or not sure what I did.
05-12-2016
11:20 am
ON LINE WITH PRINTABLE INSTRUCTIONS
05-12-2016
11:27 am
B for me.
05-12-2016
11:31 am
Hard to choose, but I’ll take B.
05-12-2016
11:35 am
New to EQ, I think I would pick A
05-12-2016
11:44 am
I suppose, if I have to chose I’d go with online classes.
05-12-2016
11:47 am
I would choose A but would prefer both. Watching videos helps me to actually see what I need to do. Having downloadable print instructions would be a great resource as well.
05-12-2016
11:48 am
I am new to EQ but I think I prefer A, so I can see what is being done, especially if it is something I haven’t done before.
05-12-2016
11:50 am
Hands down, A is the only way to go. Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons). Videos rule. Printable lessons went out the window a long time ago. What can I say, I’m an IT girl. YouTube and Vimeo are so popular because they work.
05-12-2016
11:50 am
I am new go EQ but I think A. I like to see what is being done especially if it is a new skill.
05-12-2016
11:54 am
I am new to EQ but I think I prefer A. I like the ability to rewind and view a step again, especially when learning something new.
05-12-2016
11:54 am
I would prefer B, even though I learn better watching, videos are not always clear & you can’t always see what is going on.
05-12-2016
12:05 pm
I would choose “B”
05-12-2016
12:09 pm
B for me! Thanks for the chance to win!
05-12-2016
12:26 pm
I prefer B. Thanks
05-12-2016
12:29 pm
Option B. I like having something I can easily get back to without having to go through the video to the place I wanted. : }
05-12-2016
12:30 pm
B for me. I like written lesson so I can quickly refer to things later and I tend to find more time to read than watch videos.
05-12-2016
12:40 pm
Option B. I like to read the lesson and do it right away.
05-12-2016
12:41 pm
My choice for classes would be “A”. Thank you
05-12-2016
12:45 pm
A. So much easier to learn that way
05-12-2016
12:47 pm
I’m definately a visual learner so I would prefer videos. I can always use the EQ books for written back-up.
05-12-2016
1:23 pm
B – printables so I can mark up with my own notes
05-12-2016
1:30 pm
I prefer to learn by video tutorials as it I find confidence from watching others doing it first. I don’t enjoy reading manuals but will use them as a back up when desperate.
05-12-2016
1:30 pm
I’d have to say A since I tend to be a more visual learner.
05-12-2016
1:44 pm
I’d say B–sometimes video lags
05-12-2016
1:51 pm
Option B would be my choice. I like being able to read step by step instructions. I’m afraid I would miss something with video.
05-12-2016
1:52 pm
I would choose A as it’s easier for me to learn visually.
05-12-2016
1:53 pm
A. I like to be able to watch and do at the same time, and can do this with laptop and home desktop computer at the same time.
05-12-2016
2:01 pm
I’m a fan of option B. It’s easier for me to refer to printed instructions.
05-12-2016
2:01 pm
B. I have to have notes in front of me and I usually refer back to them later!
05-12-2016
2:04 pm
My answer is B
05-12-2016
2:04 pm
Because I like to come back to lessons in an easy way, I would prefer printable lessons. I find it hard to view a video and work on EQ at the same time.
Thanks.
Linda
05-12-2016
2:18 pm
B having printed info to work with is best for me so I can refer to it as much as I need to while working on a project
05-12-2016
2:28 pm
I like A
05-12-2016
2:30 pm
I choose B. It’s a hard choice but the printable page wins for ease of reference.
05-12-2016
2:30 pm
Answer B. The printable page wins for ease of reference.
05-12-2016
2:33 pm
I would choose B because I would like to refer to the directions at another time.
05-12-2016
2:45 pm
If I can’t have both, I guess I have to go with A so I can see what is being done!
05-12-2016
3:21 pm
I choose A.
05-12-2016
3:38 pm
I would prefer A. Because I am more a viewable leaner. I am so guilty because I have had the EQ7 software for at least two years and not downloaded on my laptop!!! Yes I am so terrible for not forcing myself to learn so much from EQ. I even took beginner seminar class at the Paducah quilt show some years ago and it seemed so overwhelming if I had the software at that time. Now I need to get busy by taking the first step to download. I will now since I’ve been retired two years now. Yes I am An ” A” perhaps and want to get started ASAP. I am in gear and ready to go! Thank you all – Ginny from St. Louis
05-12-2016
3:47 pm
I prefer B
05-12-2016
3:57 pm
I would go with “A” because I am a visual learner and like to watch someone else do it.
05-12-2016
3:59 pm
I prefer B. I can read at different times without the computer on.
05-12-2016
4:03 pm
A…like to watch a video while I take classes online…
05-12-2016
4:22 pm
I choose B. I’m a visual learner also!
05-12-2016
4:26 pm
I would choose B because I need a hard reference for afterwards. While I enjoy videos very much for initial learning, I need the paper to study or look up a procedural step.
05-12-2016
4:34 pm
I would go with A
05-12-2016
4:39 pm
“B”
05-12-2016
4:39 pm
B
05-12-2016
4:44 pm
I would choose the B lessons.
05-12-2016
6:02 pm
Gosh really hard to say. I have never learned a project just with videos, but can see that they would be so helpful… I’m guessing there is probably some documentation provided so I’d pick the videos though for this contest entry.
Thanks for the chance to have my own copy of the software!
05-12-2016
6:02 pm
I’d pick the video route. Thanks!
05-12-2016
6:04 pm
I think I would prefer A as I like to see exactly how it is done….however, that said, I would probably take a couple of notes so I can reference the process when I’m not connected to the internet. (yes, some of us still don’t have access 24/7!)
05-12-2016
6:04 pm
A. Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons)
Thanks so much for the chance!
05-12-2016
6:13 pm
A is my choice
05-12-2016
6:32 pm
Option B
I would like to have the online class with the printable lessons. After I had not used EQ7 for a while, I need the printed lessons to refresh my memory.
05-12-2016
6:33 pm
I would choose A. If the video shows a step-by-step process, I can make my own notes. I would prefer actually seeing how something is done.
05-12-2016
6:42 pm
I would choose A. I am a visual learner. The ability to see what is being done helps me a lot. I can figure most things out, but seeing for me is the biggest thing.
05-12-2016
6:59 pm
I would choose B.
05-12-2016
7:12 pm
B, I like the paper for note taking and keeping everything together. That way I am able to refer back to it as often as I need. searching through videos can take too long and might get lost on a computer crash.
05-12-2016
7:40 pm
I would prefer B.
05-12-2016
7:41 pm
I would prefer option B
05-12-2016
8:56 pm
I’d prefer video over written lessons.
05-12-2016
9:21 pm
I would have to select option B. I would need to have a copy in hand to refer to for details I forgot if I just watched a video, I know I would need to see it several times.
05-12-2016
9:35 pm
I would prefer the printable lessons so I could review them as much as needed.
05-12-2016
9:37 pm
I would prefer A. Papers just add clutter and I’m best if I write my own notes.
05-12-2016
9:41 pm
“A” for me. I learn best by “seeing”.
05-12-2016
9:52 pm
I’d choose A.
05-12-2016
9:57 pm
I think I would choose B
05-12-2016
10:01 pm
Definitely A, I’m visual and love watching how something is done with good commentary as well. I have watched a range of EQ video tutorials from the web and found them very helpful.
05-12-2016
10:23 pm
I would choose A as I like to go back and rewatch a video lesson if needed.

I choose B – only because I like written instructions I can keep on hand, and review them as I go through the instructions step by step
05-13-2016
6:42 am
A
05-13-2016
6:49 am
I would need option A – online with videos!! It makes it so much easier when I can watch someone go through the process and hear their tips.

05-13-2016
9:40 am
I choose A
05-13-2016
9:59 am
Maybe A. I learn better with video instructions, but would like to have some print out instructions to refer to. A spiral bound book is a nice alternative to have even if I have to purchase it. I’d prefer thumbing through a book when I’m looking for an answer than going through a video instruction all over again secon time.
05-13-2016
10:12 am
I choose A Although I would like the option of backing up to review something I may not understand the first time.

Hi, not sure what you mean by your web site, have seen this elsewhere, but not a clue what you would want as a response.
How I would like to learn the EQ7 program is from a certified, well experiences and highly knowledgeable presenter. I would hope they would be able to give good base information, as I am a beginner! And that they would be willing to travel to South Western Ontario to offer their retreat, workshops, etc. Mit would be wonderful if that person could be approached by our quilting guild which boosts over 200 members and be taught in our lovely Creativein Arts Centre, in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada! That is how I would love to learn about your phenomenal computer program for quilters.mmthank you for your generosity in providing for opportunities to learn and yes, possibly win a prize to boot! Have a nice day! A. Martin
05-13-2016
10:51 am

05-13-2016
1:31 pm
B – Printable lessons allow the student to return to a specific lesson or lessons when needed to complete a project. It is highly unlikely that every step required to complete a project would be remembered, as there are too many variances in each design.
05-13-2016
1:47 pm
I would prefer A because then I would have the print to refer to while using my computer to use the program itself.
05-13-2016

05-15-2016
12:40 pm
I will choose B because if need be I could always go back and recheck if I have a problem, and I am lucky to be able to learn something new by reading about it.
05-15-2016
1:47 pm
I would prefer B – I always like to have notes to refer back to if overtime I’ve forgotten what to do! Same way I like the EQ books of which I have several! Thanks and Happy Anniv!
05-15-2016

05-15-2016

05-15-2016
7:14 pm
IF I had to pick, I really like referring to instructions again as I work through the project. I am a visual learner and love to see the instructions in action, but have to pick ‘B’ so I can print the steps and refer as I need to.
05-15-2016

05-15-2016
8:51 pm
I would have to pick A, the online video.
05-15-2016

05-15-2016
8:53 pm
I would pick option A, though the ability to print a PDF page of directions would be great.
05-15-2016
9:08 pm
I would choose “B”. I live in a rural area & internet service isn’t very good, so I can’t watch videos. Plus, I prefer to have printable lessons that I can refer back to.
05-15-2016
9:41 pm
If I can only choose one than B. But a combination or choice would be wonderful.
05-15-2016
10:21 pm
Given the two options, I’d have to choose A.
05-15-2016
10:21 pm
I prefer the A Online class with full video.
05-15-2016
10:53 pm
I would opt for B, because it’s good to have a hard copy to refer back to.
05-15-2016

1:24 am
I pick A.
05-16-2016

A. Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons)

6:17 am
B. Thank you
05-16-2016
6:27 am
Video is preferable but I really like both – paper notes to refer back to after I have seen the video.
05-16-2016
6:30 am
I choose B so I can read along as I work in EQ. it also gives me something to go back and refer to later.
05-16-2016
6:40 am
Option A – love the video approach! Have taken classes this way in the past, and they work for me.
05-16-2016
6:46 am
I would find Option B more helpful.
05-16-2016
6:49 am
Option A is the best for me. That way you can pause and rewind and replay as many times as you need!
05-16-2016
6:53 am
I believe I would do better with option “B”, the online class with printables. I had to think a long time for that one.
05-16-2016
7:03 am
B please, while I enjoy the on line videos, I learn well by reading and re-reading
and I like to study lessons away from the computer at times.
05-16-2016
7:31 am
B I like step by step classes.
05-16-2016
7:35 am
I would like A I’m a visual person
05-16-2016

I would like it visual
05-16-2016
7:53 am
I would have to pick B
05-16-2016
7:55 am
I have to use both video and printable. If I see read and do it I am usually able to retain the information
Thank you for asking
05-16-2016
8:00 am
Between the two, I would choose “A” (online video). I could then make notes to follow as I move the computer screen from the video to the Electric Quilt screen.
05-16-2016
8:03 am
Option B would be my choice. I love having a hard copy to refer to as I apply the lesson to a project I’m designing. Love your products!
05-16-2016
8:07 am
A works for me.
05-16-2016
8:07 am
Definitely B. I love to have the chance to go back and read instructions many times.
05-16-2016
8:10 am
I’m a visual learner. So A would work best for me.
05-16-2016
8:19 am
I would prefer A
05-16-2016
8:27 am
A, would be my choice!
05-16-2016
8:35 am
B for me!
05-16-2016
8:36 am
I pick A. Definitely a visual learner. Thanks
05-16-2016
8:38 am
I love videos, but have to say having the printable for future reference would be even better. So, am going with the printable version. Thank you
05-16-2016
8:44 am
I like written instructions best, though I also like video. For multiple step instructions, written is best.
05-16-2016
8:49 am
A for sure.
05-16-2016
8:51 am
A would be my choice but would love a video with a printable guide.
05-16-2016
8:53 am
I do like videos, however I prefer B as I like to be able to refer back to the papers and I am an avid note taker, so I add to the pre printed pages and they become my forever “go-to” resource. I can take the pages with me anywhere and bookmark places that I need more then others. It just is what works for me, so, “B” it is.
05-16-2016
8:56 am
I would choose B. I love having the printed word to refer back to later. Thanks for the giveaways.
05-16-2016
9:00 am

05-16-2016
9:09 am
I would prefer the videos as long as I could go back to them for refresher course if needed.
05-16-2016
9:17 am
I pick B.
05-16-2016
9:22 am
I want both, lol! But if only one then I say A. I would want to go back and watch again and again and have the capability of pausing the video so I could practice the new step before moving on. Hope EQ does this! I love EQ but know only a small portion of its capabilities.
05-16-2016
9:22 am
B because I like to have a printed version so I can go back and reread instructions if I don’t understand the first time
05-16-2016
9:22 am
Tough decision, but I would have to go with “B” so that I wouldn’t be dependent upon an internet connection to review the steps. Plus written instructions are easier to follow at my sewing machine since I can’t have my computer there.
05-16-2016
9:32 am
I would pick B…..your printed tutorials are easy to follow and then you go at your own speed too.
05-16-2016
9:34 am
B – I like to print them for use later.
05-16-2016
10:01 am
I would choose A. The videos really help me to see where I need to look to complete the action needed. Ideally, i would then like to be able to download brief instructions and tips based on the video class I just watched.
05-16-2016
10:12 am
B I need to see how someone is doing a technique to learn it. Written lessons re-enforce what I have seen.
05-16-2016
10:15 am
I like hands on. Give me B any day.
05-16-2016
10:22 am
I think I would like to watch a video to be able to pause and go back would be beneficial for
I chose A
05-16-2016

Would prefer B as I need printed back-up in order to make notes & clarify my understanding. Thanks for the opportunity to win some treasures.
05-16-2016
10:52 am
I prefer option A. Pause, go back, skip forward, allow the time needed to see and do…or re-do!
05-16-2016
10:58 am
I would prefer to have a video lesson with printable instructions. I always find that taking notes is very helpful for me when learning new skills – especially new computer programs. Thank you for this generous give-away!
05-16-2016
10:58 am
B – as I would have something to which I could refer back
05-16-2016
11:07 am
Hi, I would like to choose B…I too would like to have something to go back to printed if I needed help or had a question or just to review….even though I like to watch someone acturally show me how to do something new….
05-16-2016
11:16 am
I pick B as I need to refer back to written instructions. Thanks
05-16-2016
11:20 am
Online class with printable step-by-step lessons (no videos). However I feel you need some visual format to see what you should be doing.
05-16-2016
11:24 am
I would pick B as I learn better seeing step-by-step instructions.
05-16-2016
11:37 am
I prefer option A. For me, a video that is well done is absolutely the best way to learn whenever I can’t attend a class in person. Being able to see the correct way to execute a technique gives me the confidence I need to try it myself. And having the ability to view, pause, rewind and/or slow down the action makes a video much more effective than a printed page.
05-16-2016
11:47 am
Printable. I’m not going to get everything the first time and I wouldn’t want to have to continually stop the video. Of course the real answer would be Both, but maybe that was your point.
05-16-2016
12:10 pm
I pick B. I enjoy the videos, but do better when I have printed instructions. Although, I would really prefer videos with the printed instructions.
05-16-2016
12:12 pm
Definitely letter B.
05-16-2016
12:16 pm
I picked B

Both would be great, but if I have to choose it would be B.
05-16-2016
1:29 pm
B — I am a visual learner, so printouts along with the tutorial would be the best way for me to make a block.
05-16-2016
2:07 pm
B online class with printable step by step instructions. I learned to sew from my mother, she was a seamstress. I watched for years and started actually sewing at age 10. Learning to read patterns and printed instructions comes natural to me. Being a retired teacher I have an affection for books, patterns, maps, and instructions. Through the years I have taught myself many crafts; crochet, cake decorating, tole painting, embroidery, macrame and many others. Now I take online classes with printed instructions and enjoy them very much. That is the way I learn and why I would choose B.
05-16-2016

Definitely B – Videos are great but give me the paper!
05-16-2016

6:34 am
I learn simple tasks better from A but if the tasks have many different variations I prefer paper. This allows me to have the instructions nearby and refer to them during my process, so given a choice only B is my choice.
05-17-2016
6:40 am
I will go with B it will help me so much
05-17-2016
6:41 am
I would choose B, I like to have something to refer back to when I’m trying the methods later.
05-17-2016
6:47 am

05-17-2016
6:58 am

05-17-2016
7:12 am
Definitely A.
05-17-2016
7:12 am

8:02 am
A. I am a visual learner. I feel it makes it easier to understand.
05-17-2016
8:23 am
B I would prefer having printables to refer back to. Thank you.
05-17-2016
8:26 am
I would prefer B – the online class with printable step-by-step lessons. I am a visual person and would want to be able to quickly refer back to the printed lessons to refresh my memory when performing the steps needed to perform a particular task in EQ7.
thanks

I am a visual learner. Choice A (with videos) would be the best method for me to personally learn. Thank you for the chance. These bundles are gorgeous.
05-17-2016
9:43 am
I would follow online tutorials with printouts. I am an engineer and Like to figure and be able to move along at my own pace.
05-17-2016
9:50 am
I would say the online classes and ability to printout instructions so that I can refer back to them. I’m a visual learner so both combined will help.
05-17-2016
9:51 am
B, please
05-17-2016
9:54 am
Choice A, I am more of a visual learner. I also like the staying green method. Videos can be downloaded and/or saved to reference back to, as well as paused, play back or skipped forward. So I could follow at a pace I am comfortable with.
05-17-2016
10:00 am
B
05-17-2016

05-17-2016
10:12 am
B I need something I can go back to.
05-17-2016
10:20 am

05-17-2016
10:35 am
B please. Having the printed step by step allows me to go at my own pace.
05-17-2016
10:57 am
I would have to pick B. I love to watch videos but seeing step by step directions are better for me.
05-17-2016
11:16 am
I like A the online video classes. You can always go back if you want to see it again.
05-17-2016
11:19 am
A – I like seeing the process on a video, and if there is a problem can go back to review that particular issue.
05-17-2016
11:21 am
A definitely, seeing the process gives me the whole picture and if there are issues, I can go back to review that particular part.
05-17-2016
11:30 am
A. A video as on U Tube that I can rewatch whenever I need to. You have books to purchase if I need to be in print. I have purchased the books. I need to see it in action.
05-17-2016
11:39 am
A – I have the books already, a visual would be very valuable.
05-17-2016
11:43 am
B online with printable lessons. I like to be able to look at a visual several times to know I am doing the lesson correctly.
05-17-2016
12:42 pm
I prefer option B, with printed materials.
05-17-2016
1:23 pm
I would prefer B. I am a visual person.

Online with printable lessons. Need reinforcements.
05-17-2016
2:11 pm
I prefer B.
05-17-2016
3:17 pm
I choose “B” – I love having the printed materials not only for the visual but also for future reference. Thank you.
05-17-2016
3:26 pm
Considering the visual nature of using of using design software, I would prefer “A,” the online tutorials. Considering this is complex software, I would expect to have repeated and extended access to the videos in order to fully capture the steps being presented.
Conjecturing why you asked this question leads to an additional thought. From my research into education, I have learned that there are distinct, innate learning styles/needs that would affect a person’s choice of learning options. A learning format that works well for one will not necessarily work well for another. So, to meet the learning needs of your current and future customer base, both options should be available.
05-17-2016
3:50 pm
I would say B. But, hey, what’s wrong with studying and learning from the manual that comes with EQ7?? That’s what I did. Ann
05-17-2016
4:14 pm
I prefer the printable option with the online lessons. That way, I can refresh my memory and/or check my understanding if I get into the middle of something and find I didn’t really understand the lesson or too much time has passed between the lesson and putting it into use and I’ve forgotten something.
05-17-2016
4:29 pm
I prefer the printable option with the online lessons. The videos would be helpful in any case if you forget.
05-17-2016
6:42 pm
Although I would miss the videos I think I would get more out of having the written instructions to review as often as I needed.
05-17-2016
6:53 pm
B – most of the time I prefer having a printed copy that I can refer back to later if I have questions. I usually check the manual to see if it has my answers first, then call a more knowledgeable friend!
05-17-2016
7:23 pm
B would be best for referring back to steps.
05-17-2016
7:34 pm
I learn much better watching something being done, so video.
05-17-2016
7:44 pm
I am a visual learner, but would choose B so I could refer back to written instructions too.
05-17-2016
8:01 pm
I prefer B for I like to read the instructions along with tutorials I am teaching fellow members of my Unit of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Purple Heart to make quilts so we can make and donate Quilts of Valor and Quilts of Honor to veterans and ‘fidget mats’ for Alzheimer’s patients and autistic persons. Thank you for this opportunity
05-17-2016
9:36 pm
Question B, I like printable lessons getting older and need visual lessons.
05-17-2016
11:47 pm
A – I am a visual learner and need to SEE how things are done. I find it very hard to learn by only reading directions!
05-17-2016
11:53 pm
B- I need to refer back to a written instruction to get it to sink in!
05-17-2016
11:56 pm
I would like A. Watching step by step works for me.
05-18-2016
12:57 am
I currently have EQ7, but haven’t used it in since I got it 5 (?) years ago. Over my head. And reading the book included didn’t help. Therefore, my answer would be A. Maybe an online video course will make it stick. Looking forward to the final tally.
05-18-2016
3:26 am
B – I like being able to refer to printed references.
05-18-2016
4:45 am
I would like A and B I am greedy. Have the book as a reference but also have the video as some need to watch to learn while others need books and there are some like me that us both.
Every one has their own way of learning and you need to assist all given how good this product has proven to be.
Lynn

05-18-2016
7:57 am
I would prefer A, like to see and do.
05-18-2016

I need continual refreshing so B is my choice.
05-18-2016
8:59 am
I would prefer option B. Thanks for the opportunity!
05-18-2016
9:16 am
B, I feel I would learn more using printable lessons rather than just the videos. Information enters my brain differently when viewed on paper; I certainly retain more that way. And thank you for asking, rather than just deciding for us.
05-18-2016
9:28 am
B is best for me because I can’t easily watch a video tutorial while trying to figure out where things are on my EQ7 screen. Thanks for the chance to win!
05-18-2016
9:34 am
I would choose B.
05-18-2016
10:01 am
B would be my choice as well video is a great visual and the printing it out for future reference is a great addition my notebook for later use and notes I write to reinforce what I learned.
05-18-2016
10:16 am
B) Please, I am a visual learner. Thanks.
05-18-2016
11:04 am
B – print outs so I can re-read is best for me. Videos are great but I can’t keep up or day dream when things are slow. Worktable steps that aren’t used often are easier for me to look up than to re-watch a long video. Love EQ!
05-18-2016
12:24 pm
B and the ability to rewind and pause would be wonderful.
05-18-2016
12:26 pm
B – After watching the videos, I like to have printed help available at the machine when I get back to it, sometimes after several weeks away.
05-18-2016
12:34 pm
B- online class with printable lessons. I like to have something to refer to while I’m trying out the new information.
05-18-2016
3:25 pm
On line claw and printable. I’m a visual learner too and would want to printable to remind me how to do things later.
05-18-2016
3:26 pm
I’m a visual learner too. I would want to watch on line but have a paper copy I can refer to later .
05-18-2016
3:52 pm
I prefer A for video classes.
05-18-2016
3:54 pm
I prefer A.
05-18-2016
4:56 pm
It’s gotta be A for this gal. Video that I can watch again and again is most likely best. Though I also like written instruction to. Still a “workin’ girl”… I need learning that’s available when I have time!
Thanks… great contest, and congratulations on your anniversary!

05-18-2016
6:11 pm
I prefer A.
05-18-2016
6:37 pm
Option A: Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons)
05-18-2016
7:46 pm
I would more through the method described in B: to learn visually, then read. Thank you.
05-18-2016
8:03 pm
They say that a picture is worth 1,000 words, so a video would greatly enhance the learning experience. Option A would be my choice. Videos can show different angles that you would not see on a printed page. You can stop the action at different places and replay the lesson to help you be successful.
05-18-2016
8:55 pm
B
05-18-2016
11:03 pm
B- I like to visually see printouts so I can go back and study then.
05-18-2016
11:16 pm
B – I like to have printouts to refer to layer after the class.
05-18-2016
11:44 pm
I prefer B – I like to have the written instructions to refer back to and to keep notes on.
05-18-2016
11:51 pm
I’d say A – written lessons for this can be too tedious.
05-19-2016
3:23 am
I would prefer the videos.
05-19-2016
7:02 am
B. While video classes are great in many cases for a computer class I like written instructions because on the video they move the cursor so rapidly with click here then click here I can get lost. Of course my true ideal is written instructions with on demand video to accompany the instructions. Sorry I am a have my cake and eat it too kind of person.
05-19-2016
7:03 am
If I had to pick one or the other I would have to say A.
But A would be nice with the option of having B to print out as a refresher so you didn’t have to go through the whole video again and could just skim over what you needed to remind yourself of
05-19-2016
7:06 am
A. Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons) is what I would prefer.
05-19-2016
7:29 am
B – I like something to refer to as I work it through on my own.
05-19-2016
7:36 am
I would prefer Class A with the video lessons.
But if I had the option of video and printed instructions I would take that class.
05-19-2016
7:43 am
I would be for both A and B. Like having the videos to watch at my leisure but like having printouts to go back to.
05-19-2016
7:46 am
A, if the class can be watched again and again.
05-19-2016
7:50 am
I like B.
05-19-2016
7:55 am
This is a hard choice. But I will go with A. Video lessons.
05-19-2016
7:57 am
B. Online with printed. I am a very visual learner.
05-19-2016
8:01 am
A to see is perfect.
05-19-2016
8:02 am
A.Online class with full video lessons (no printable lessons)

A Video
05-19-2016
8:02 am
I learn visual, so I would want the videos
05-19-2016
8:05 am
I’d be an A all the way.
05-19-2016
8:27 am
I prefer A video.
05-19-2016
8:36 am
I would prefer “B”. I like having it printed in front of me so I can refer back to it as I’m doing it.
05-19-2016
8:37 am
B. That way I could look at it while practicing on EQ.
05-19-2016
8:38 am
option b please
05-19-2016
8:41 am
I would love to win EQ7 as an upgrade. I already have EQ6 but have not used it very much. I was at a quilt material store yesterday and the lady was showing me everything she does in EQ7 and now I want to be able to use it more on my computer.
05-19-2016
8:50 am
B I like a printed reminder as I work.
05-19-2016
8:54 am
B I too like the printed reminder and really get frustrated by trying to go back to particular places in a video.
05-19-2016
9:12 am
I prefer A
05-19-2016
9:27 am
I do better with video lessons in addition to written. I think hands on in a classroom setting would be fun too.
05-19-2016
9:41 am
I like the B option.
05-19-2016
9:42 am
B simply because most videos are not captioned (deaf).
05-19-2016
9:43 am
I would prefer written lessons since my computer is off when I am sewing.
05-19-2016
9:44 am
I would prefer A. Thanks.
05-19-2016
10:06 am
I like B because when I am working with the program I can look at the printed instructions and go step by step. If it is a video only I have to do two things at once on the computer and that can be confusing.
05-19-2016
10:39 am
Because we must make a choice, I would prefer the video so I can see how it is done. I can watch and makes notes. However, I find it best for me to watch a video and then if I get stuck, I have the capability to read as I go rather than going back to the video.
05-19-2016

B
05-19-2016

05-19-2016
11:10 am
After much thought I find that I prefer A. It was tough to make a choice.
05-19-2016
11:16 am
I’m a visual learner so A is my answer.
05-19-2016
11:24 am
I too would prefer A with the videos. It was a difficult choice, however, because I do like to have hard copy of some things.
05-19-2016
12:04 pm
B. I learn visually, but need written instructions. I’m not very patient when watching a video. I can watch the video and get the general idea and then refer back to the written directions. Thanks.
05-19-2016
12:36 pm
I really like hands on lessons so my choice would be “A”.
05-19-2016
12:55 pm
I would prefer the best of both worlds! If I have to choose one, give me the videos!!!
05-19-2016

B. I prefer to have the written step by step lessons. With these it is easy to go at my own pace and to go back and see what I may have done wrong. This method also allows me to take notes as I go or to mark things that are especially important to remember. I have now taken 4 classes through the EQ7 Online University. They have all been FABULOUS!!

A. With Video
05-20-2016
10:03 am
I like to have a well-made pdf so I can store it on my computer AND print it out if I want to take it to the machine (or to the fabric store). This is one that more than one person has produced. That is because any parts that are easy for the person making it might not be easy for all users and more “editors” make a better-written instruction.
05-20-2016
10:07 am
On line with full video

10:27 am
A -I would prefer the video lessons. I am a visual learner and would find it easier to grasp concepts/techniques by watching them on a video. The videos would need to be accessible for long term use.
05-22-2016

10:57 am
B: printed instructions because you can put them in a binder and make notes on them and then keep referring to them from time to time.
05-22-2016
10:58 am
B. I prefer written, printable instructions because watching a video isn’t always convenient. Also, with print outs, I can write notes, make sketches & diagrams directly at the place where I have a question, comment, &/or idea. Also, I’m more likely to refer back to this (like looking through a book) at a later date instead of searching through my computer.
05-22-2016

05-22-2016
11:57 am
B I like the step by step. I can keep track of the printable lessons.
05-22-2016

A – Online class with video. I pick up a lot more information when I see a live presentation.
05-22-2016
12:03 pm

A question and answer format is essential.

I would prefer B . I would be nice to have a your fingertips for backup!!
05-22-2016
12:09 pm
Tough choice. My answer is A if I have to pick one.
05-22-2016
12:11 pm
A- videos are a great way to learn or review a technique.
05-22-2016
12:11 pm
I would choose option B so I can see what to do step by step. It is hard to remember all the steps just from watching something.
05-22-2016
12:12 pm
B I so need printed instructions. Although I love learning new things, I need so much repetition to confirm processes to memory.
Love EQ7 and this promotion.
05-22-2016
12:13 pm
B is the best option for me. It is always nice to have something to refer back to.

B. classes with print outs.
05-22-2016
12:20 pm
B An online class with printed instructions would be awesome!
05-22-2016
12:21 pm
B. Online class with printable step-by-step lessons (no videos)
I like the hard copy because it is hard to go back with a video and get the right point. Also view isn’t always the best.
05-22-2016
12:23 pm
B
05-22-2016
12:23 pm
I prefer to learn by the online class with videos. I like to see someone doing the lessons. I already have so much printed material, I am running out of space in my home. Ha! Ha!
05-22-2016
12:39 pm
A, but only if you can watch it more than once.
05-22-2016
12:40 pm
As thee is an on line class to watch having printable with pictures would be a handy reference to use during class and years later after. As it’s easier to find the info instead of finding it on a video
05-22-2016
12:47 pm
B The printouts are nice for future referral.
05-22-2016
12:47 pm
Put me down for “B”. I like to read a hard-copy.
05-22-2016
12:47 pm
A. I like to be able to see what is being taught. That being said, if I am paying for a class I would want to have unlimited access to the class so that I can go back and review the what was taught and take notes.
05-22-2016
12:52 pm
B. I get impatient with videos and usually want to go at a faster pace.
05-22-2016

05-22-2016
1:12 pm
Must have the printable…old school I guess???
05-22-2016
1:12 pm
I would prefer A because I work best with printed handouts.
05-22-2016
1:16 pm
I would prefer option “B”. It is nice to thumb through a printable copy to refresh a step instead of waiting through a video to review what you don’t want to find the thing you are after.
05-22-2016
1:21 pm
B. I’d rather go thru at my own pace with written instructions.
05-22-2016

05-22-2016
1:27 pm
B. I like to be able to look things up at a later date. Reference material.
05-22-2016
1:31 pm
Print, please. Although I enjoy watching videos, I often know how to sew a particular segment. With printed instructions, I view the entire project, then can skip to the part I need to learn, reread numerous times, then keep them handy for easy future reference. Color me impatient
05-22-2016
1:36 pm
I prefer B. I like to print lesson material sometimes.
05-22-2016
1:38 pm

05-22-2016
1:46 pm
option B — online with printable full lessons, quick instruction and/or tricks and tips available if I need for later reference
05-22-2016
2:03 pm
I would prefer option B if I could choose only one, because I would be able to take notes on the printouts, keep track of exactly where I am, and skip whatever I don’t need. Videos often include introductory talking that isn’t necessary and wastes time, and if there’s just one specific thing I need, I hate having to watch a 20-minute video just to find that one thing. Finally, I would expect to find lots of videos on YouTube where people are demonstrating whatever I might need to see in a video, so I’d prefer the classes to have step-by-step printable lessons. I wouldn’t expect to find those anywhere else.
05-22-2016
2:03 pm
I prefer to have written instructions.
05-22-2016
2:04 pm
Option A – sometimes it’s easier to see how things are done than to just read about it.
05-22-2016
2:12 pm
B. I don’t like having to stop, rewind, fast forward to try to get what I need.
05-22-2016

05-22-2016

printed for sure! other wise I’d be atarting and stopping the video writing everything down. Ive done that and I hated it. So if it is absolute one or the other, for me, hands down it is PRINT.
05-22-2016
2:45 pm
I prefer (A)
05-22-2016
2:46 pm

05-22-2016
2:49 pm
Would prefer both but I am old school and would like the printouts for reference.
05-22-2016
2:57 pm
I would prefer B – I’m a ‘read & picture” type of learner, and use the printed materials to refer back to.
05-22-2016
2:57 pm
I would prefer B – with printed lessons. Video presentations are great the first time through, but printed lessons are best for me for referencing back to a particular point.
05-22-2016
3:03 pm
I would like full videos.. I am super visual. But having more than one way to learn by listening to it as well really helps the content click for my brain!
05-22-2016
3:08 pm
Printable for me. I can’t sit still to rewatch a video.
05-22-2016
3:11 pm
I would like to have EQ on line and with a written transcript. I am a visual learner, so if I don’t understand what someone is saying, I will check the script. I have taught myself several crafts by following books, long before the computer come to be.
05-22-2016
3:11 pm

My answer is B
05-22-2016
3:51 pm
b with printed lessons
05-22-2016
4:05 pm
Option B…nice to be able to make notes and refer back to them.
05-22-2016
4:07 pm
I would prefer B as you (I) can then refer back to hard copy when you (I) get lost in what you (I) am doing!
05-22-2016
4:08 pm
As others have said; I, too, would prefer B. Paper may be tedious, I can refer to paper easier than a video. Remember the video? HA! My memory is okay, but my forgetter is better.
05-22-2016
4:15 pm
B would work best for me. I like to have printed copies to refer back to.
05-22-2016
4:15 pm
Need the printed. Can’t follow a video fast enough!
05-22-2016
4:15 pm
Choosing A is tempting, because it is always great to have live instruction, but, having to choose one or the other, I think it would be B. Sometimes, seeing the text and pictures can provide all I need, and I can make notes as I go along.
05-22-2016
4:25 pm
On line class with printable instructions. Need instructions in writing as a reminder.
05-22-2016

05-22-2016
4:30 pm
B because I like to refer back to
05-22-2016
4:39 pm
I’d pick video, every time. I just learn so much better when I can SEE something done. That way I get to learn exactly how it’s supposed to be executed, rather than worrying if my interpretation is correct. Once I know how to do it – then I can change it up and make it my own!
05-22-2016
4:46 pm
I prefer ‘B’ as I can then go as slowly as I want, and I can backtrack if necessary and know what I’m up to.
05-22-2016
4:49 pm
I like video but have paper available. With video I can go back and view as many times needed for lesson to take!
05-22-2016
4:56 pm
I would prefer the video version.
05-22-2016
4:59 pm
I prefer the written material, it seems easier for me to go back to if I have a question
05-22-2016
5:00 pm
I prefer A to see step by step instructions.
05-22-2016
5:01 pm

05-22-2016
5:32 pm
B is my choice. Thank you.
05-22-2016
5:33 pm
I would prefer A. I am using the printed now and it’s a struggle.
05-22-2016
5:35 pm
I would love “B”, the printed version. I have to go back over things lots.
05-22-2016
5:41 pm
I prefer option “A” as long as I have the ability to rewind and preview the video.
05-22-2016
6:05 pm
On line with printable…we pay for data so if I can print and have handy to look up answers to questions my life is easier.
05-22-2016
6:07 pm
On line and printable…so easy to refer to as we have to pay for data; limited on line capability.
05-22-2016
6:10 pm
B so I can learn at my own pace and also be able to access even if my internet is down.
05-22-2016
6:16 pm
It’s B for me please. I like to have written instructions to refer back to when I’m momentarily stuck.
05-22-2016
6:17 pm

05-22-2016
6:27 pm

05-22-2016

05-22-2016
6:38 pm
Option A – We can always use the “pause” feature on the video to repeat a technique.
05-22-2016
6:39 pm
Option A – We can choose the “pause” feature on the video is we want to repeat a technique.
05-22-2016
6:46 pm
I prefer B so that I can work through it when I don’t have computer access.
05-22-2016
6:56 pm
B, can be read while using EQ on computer.
05-22-2016
7:26 pm
I need the print!
05-22-2016
7:38 pm
I prefer Option B as I learn better from printed materials that I can review step by step.
05-22-2016
7:43 pm
I prefer lessons with printable instructions, because I have to be able to have hands on and to be able to repeat the steps several times. I cannot commit things to memory as easily as I did when I was younger.
05-22-2016
7:50 pm
B I like printed materials to review as necessary.
05-22-2016
7:52 pm
I prefer A. There is already a lot in print and I am a video/visual learner.
05-22-2016
8:18 pm
I would prefer A. If there were handouts I would probably misplace them and get very frustrated with myself. With videos, meaning videos that show the stitching or steps up close and of high quality, can be watched over and over. Since the videos are on the web I can’t lose or misplace them! Win! Win!
05-22-2016
8:24 pm
I like a but printable supply list and templates if any are needed Hope to win!!!!
05-22-2016
8:28 pm

05-22-2016
8:38 pm
I would prefer Option B I can be a very slow learner and respond better to written instructions.
05-22-2016
8:40 pm
I would prefer B so I can easily refer to it. Love videos though but the print beside me is easier.
05-22-2016
8:46 pm
Definitely option A – online classes with full video lessons.
05-22-2016
8:50 pm
I definitely learn best with option A – Online class with full video lessons
05-22-2016
8:56 pm
I think I would prefer A
05-22-2016
8:58 pm
B because you can refer to the printed instructions in case you forget.
05-22-2016
9:24 pm
I learn better with video “A” is the best!
05-22-2016
9:35 pm
Printed instructions work best for me…pictures are helpful.
05-22-2016
9:39 pm
I would prefer B as I like to have something to refer to. Things can be missed in a video.
05-22-2016
9:42 pm
I would have to say A, as much as i love printouts i learn much better from watching!
05-22-2016
9:53 pm
I use the printables…I like having the reference right there to go over.
05-22-2016
10:01 pm
Printables, I like to have something to hold!
05-22-2016
10:06 pm
Option B. Although I would like to see the videos, I prefer to have the printed information for reference at a later time.
05-22-2016
10:07 pm
I would prefer to learn it with an online class with printable step-by-step lessons (no videos. I like having the printables so I can have the lessons with me all the time not just when I am in front of my computer.
05-22-2016
10:23 pm
I would prefer online with printable materials. I have an inconsistent Internet connection and am not always sure if I am getting the complete understanding from sporadic video. Having the printables lets me move away from my computer and I am more likely to get the complete lesson. I do learn better with multimedia, but that was not an option.
05-22-2016
10:49 pm
Would love to win this bundle
05-22-2016
10:50 pm
I would prefer online video
05-22-2016
10:59 pm
I would prefere option B, an online class with printable lessons. I find it easier to work with when I’m trying to complete each task for myself.
05-22-2016
11:06 pm
Option B…I like to have printed instructions I can refer to.
05-22-2016
11:07 pm
B I like to be able to refer to printed instructions.
05-23-2016
12:15 am
I would prefer video lessons A. I have purchased eq since version one, remember those 3 1/2 disks? I know there are many new techniques that I am not currant on but love the support from eq.
05-23-2016
1:20 am
I would prefer Option A with full Video lessons that I can watch time and time again and replay the parts that I’m not sure about. I can take my own notes when necessary. Printable lessons can be hard to follow and are a lot more time consuming as you have to read everything to understand fully but having a visual demonstration makes it easier to understand and follow. I have owned EQ7 for over a year and I still can’t get my head around how to use it. If I make a mistake I can’t work out how to correct it. The manual is huge !
A series of Craftsy classes would be wonderful so that if you have a problem you can ask the instructor. I would love to be able to attend a class in Melbourne Australia but the only class I can find is in Queensland – a 2 hour flight away !
05-23-2016
2:25 am
I would prefer Option B, the online class with printable material. It would be easier to use as I prepare and sew each project.
05-23-2016
2:55 am
I love online Videos. But why not both. First you watch the video and then you can try it out with the printable version.
05-23-2016
4:58 am
I prefer the printable lessons with no video. I like to keep a notebook of lessons to refer back at my convenience. I am better at learning through reading as I am more likely to retain the knowledge.
05-23-2016
5:28 am
I would prefer B. As I would like to have a printable sheet to fall back on.
05-23-2016
5:35 am
With printable lessons. It helps to have them for future references!
05-23-2016
6:41 am
Prefer section A.
05-23-2016
6:54 am
I’d like to have both options, see a video at least with some features but also printable lessons with the basics for easy reference when needed …like having the manual and watching the videos that come with EQ7. I’d like to see lessons and tutorials like that for things that are not included in the manual and are more complex.
05-23-2016
7:06 am
I would love an online video.
05-23-2016
7:17 am
Option B, I always prefer to have printable instructions that I can take with me, read anywhere and anytime, and refer to just the section(s) that I need to without searching a video for the information. Online videos means I have to be somewhere I can view them from with the time to do it and that seldom works for me.
05-23-2016
7:56 am
Option B I print everything, having a hard copy is so much easier for me.
05-23-2016
8:19 am
I prefer online video instruction (option A) as long as it has unlimited availability for repeated viewing.
05-23-2016
8:23 am
B – printed gives me a visual reference while planning and working on projects.
05-23-2016
9:16 am
I would prefer A. But if I could have both, that would be perfect. I like to watch on video and them refresh with the printed material.
05-23-2016
9:28 am
I enjoy the videos. I read through it first then I watch the videos as a review.
05-23-2016
9:55 am
I prefer online video
05-23-2016
10:00 am
I prefer Option A that has videos. I’ve done a few of the classes you have with printables and it seems very slow and cumbersome to me.
05-23-2016
10:15 am
I would prefer on-line with printable lessons.
05-23-2016
10:20 am
If I have to choose between the two – I’d go with the video. But I really prefer both – the print out gives a quick reference to a certain key point that I might need to refresh on, while the video goes over all the steps and may be easier to understand than words alone.
05-23-2016
11:04 am
I learn best with “B” printed materials to refer to after class is over.
05-23-2016
11:08 am
Option B is best for me, having printed materials in hand keeps me from over thinking the instructions. The fabrics are very wonderful looking.
05-23-2016
11:23 am
I think selection B. I find that the more elaborate the schedule and definitive, the more likely I am to retain the information. I love my EQ7! I would love to learn more about it so I can use it fully! Hugs, Deb Johnson
05-23-2016
11:28 am
I’m a visual learner, so I would prefer the online video.
05-23-2016

11:58 am
I would prefer the online with printable lessons.
05-23-2016
12:06 pm
I would prefer “B”….the online class with the printable lessons so that I can easily refer to these during the class as well as later. Thanks!
Cherrie Kridler
05-23-2016
12:08 pm
B. I like to take notes on the printouts.
05-23-2016
12:09 pm
B. I prefer to take notes on the printouts for future reference.
05-23-2016
12:22 pm
There’s always room for more fabric in my stash. This would also make a wonderful guild door prize!
05-23-2016
12:48 pm
Video is much better – for non native English speakers it is more useful.
05-23-2016
12:50 pm
I would prefer an online class with printable step by step instructions. That way I can add my own notes to what is provided.

I prefer online classes with printable step-by-step lessons. This allows me to go back at a later date and review areas I am having trouble with. Printed out lessons allowed me to review any lesson months or years later. Big help!!!

I would prefer to have the online class with printable materials because it takes me a few times to learn something well, and I like going back to check things. If I have a print copy, I can refer to it as needed.
I started with the EQ5 program and have used it to design many quilts. I am still learning the EQ7.

I like it both ways. Videos are awesome where the printed instructions could be ambiguous. I’m also a visual learner. When you put them together, they are dynamite!

I prefer on-line printable step-by-step instructions so I can print, take them with me to read and not have to worry about lost signals/connections. It’s easier for me to keep my focus, reread a portion and follow along than switching back and forth with a video. I’m computer challenged but I can print!

6:55 pm
I would have to go with Option A – videos – if I truly need something on paper I can write it down. Think about how many trees we would save. Also I prefer things to be in full color as I’m learning and that is just so hard to accomplish in a handout. Not to mention cost prohibitive. I don’t know about the rest of you, but the price of my printer ink is astronomical! And I would much rather spend my money on more quilt fabric!
05-24-2016
7:05 pm
Option B. Prefer printed materials. I go back and refer to material from the on-line I have taken when I need to. Being tied to the computer to watch videos is not the best for me.
05-24-2016
7:12 pm
Option B, Printed materials.
05-24-2016
7:26 pm
I prefer anything in writing. That way I can refer to it when ever I want to and not interrupt Other people who may want to watch TV or a movie in the same room as the computer. I really would just prefer to buy a book and keep it for ever.
05-24-2016
7:44 pm

B.
I prefer to have the printable notes, I can use them away from the computer to read and think through. Slow Internet means videos do not always work well. Also if I am following steps through, I can not do this on the computer if I have to watch video at the same time.

11:14 pm
I prefer written notes and step by step lessons!
05-24-2016
11:26 pm
A is my choice, as I am a visual learner so would prefer to have videos if they are lifetime videos that can be watched over and over again. Written instructions can be confusing without someone/videos to explain them to me when I over think them. Love the Craftsy format where you can ask questions and see answers on the sidebar. I would like to see at least a printout of supplies needed. I can make my own notes as that helps me retain instructions given in videos. Thank you for this opportunity to voice our preferences.

05-25-2016

05-25-2016
12:50 pm
I prefer B. I can print the materials and can refer back to it easier than trying to find answers on a video. Best of both worlds would be A&B!
05-25-2016
12:55 pm
I would prefer B. I learn by reading and seeing!!!
05-25-2016
1:25 pm
I prefer clearly written printed step by step instructions, accompanied by pictures when appropriate for the first time through a learning experience. However, a tip sheet that is easily accessible for more experienced users that need a brief memory refresher would also be useful. I agree with the above comments that Craftsy is the best platform for video lessons. It is important to be able to access them at any time and at any point. My biggest problem with videos is that I want get to the answer to my question without having to watch 30 minutes of unrelated stuff.
