These free projects are EQ7 files. With EQ7, you can open them to the view the quilt. You can also change the colors/fabrics, manipulate the size, print the blocks, read designer notes, etc. The possibilities are endless!!

Electric Quilt 5 is great, but outdated.
EQ7 was released as a full-featured quilt design program, giving users everything they need to design a quilt. We added an image worktable that allows you to import your own photos, edit them and use them in your designs. Also, we’ve created the capability to color your quilts with fabrics you actually own! You can scan your fabrics (or download them from some manufacturer’s websites) and import them into EQ7. You’ll get to design with your choice of fabric to see what your quilt would really look like! The program will even calculate your fabric yardage! Additionally, we have several EQ7 Add-on products that supplement your design process like extra block libraries, brand-new fabric downloads, lesson books, quilting designs and more!
