Block foundations are six-inch square assorted scraps. Half of each block was covered diagonally with selvedge strips. I consider this a “free” quilt since no fabric was purchased for the top; hence the name “Waste Not”. At 110″ square this was too big to tackle on my domestic machine, so it was quilted by my friend Gail Ishii on a long arm machine.

What a stunning design and terrific use of scrap fabric!
It is just beautiful. Just two colors makes it perfect!
Love “Waste Not” by Pat Huston. Good use of scraps and color placement.
