Block foundations are six-inch square assorted scraps. Half of each block was covered diagonally with selvedge strips. I consider this a “free” quilt since no fabric was purchased for the top; hence the name “Waste Not”. At 110″ square this was too big to tackle on my domestic machine, so it was quilted by my friend Gail Ishii on a long arm machine.
