Sometimes (well, much of the time) I am such a geek! My brother’s mother-in-law commissioned me to make a photo quilt for a graduation gift last month. I bought a packet of Good Fortune fat quarters (by Kate Spain), and remembered that Moda offers an easy way to import swatches into EQ. So I spent a perfectly good Saturday night importing fabrics and photos and designing the quilt – a variation of the Yellow Brick Road pattern. It was great to be able to send her an idea of how the finished product would look before I got started.

I just noticed they re-posted this quilt/info. If it’s not too late (well, 1.5 years!)to answer your question, I created three different blocks, each made of squares and rectangles with a finished size of 10″ (though you could use any size). I found the easiest way to include the photos was to put them on Layer 2, sizing them to fit on top of the various patches in the quilt.
Please feel free to email me if you want more info.
