My local quilt guild issued a design challenge activity. We were given a handful of already pieced 6 1/2″ unfinished modified 9-patch blocks and our only instructions were to incorporate the blocks into a finished quilt. I modified existing EQ7 blocks, ie: simplified the roof line by taking out angled pieces which allowed for quick, easy construction. Because of the scrappiness of the design, I also modified an EQ7 basic tree block by making the trees two-toned. Finished quilt is 57″ x 66″. It was a huge hit at this month’s mtg when I revealed it to the group. I couldn’t be happier and I love owning EQ7.
