I have been an EQ fan and user since EQ1. This is a quilt I designed, machine pieced, and machine quilted for my grandson Jonathan for Christmas 2011. It is an extra long twin to the floor. I have had this block design in my sketchbook for several years and just discovered how well varying the colors in alternate blocks enriches its look. I certainly enjoyed designing and constructing it. Jon seems to enjoy it as well.

Beautiful. As usual you design such amazing work. I love the blue and the darker color doesn’t look like the same quilt. Lucky grandson!

Beautiful design and fabric selection. I like the optical illusion effect. I can see how EQ would be very helpful in selecting different colored options. Did you print the foundations from EQ also?

Mary Lou forwarded this to me just now, and I’m so impressed to see the quilt! The colors are gor-geoua and the delicate needlework beyond my comprehension! I’ve done quite a bit of using up fabric scraps this summer but on little girls’ garments such as tiered skirts and embellishing denim skirts. Maybe if I took quilting lessons, I could do some basic “stuff”. Congratulations on doing this wonderful piece of work. I know Jon will appreciate the gift more and more as the years go by!
(Sss you in Dallas tomorrow?)
Blessings, SUE

My talented cousin is miles ahead of me when it comes to the whole process of quilting. Her designs are always interesting and beautifully executed.
