I made this quilt for my mother’s best friend, Sharon,  to use while undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.

Her favorite color was green and she collected things with chicken motifs.
My friend Michele, embroidered the chicken blocks and also quilted it freehand.
The quilting was done with an off white thread and Michele quilted words on it that described Sharon. There are barely noticeable. Every time I see Sharon’s family, they tell me how much comfort it brings to them while they search for those words.

The quilt was planned in EQ6 just before the release of EQ7.
