I love the way Bargello quilts look and set out to design one using EQ6 for the Australian Quilting Convention Challenge 2010.  Once I’d designed a block I liked I used the symmetry tool to combine the block in different orientations and combinations.  This design, that looks like butterflies fluttering around in circles, came up after a few iterations.  My quilt was an “also ran” in the competition but one magazine editor saw it and has asked to publish it as a project.  A friend visited while I was making it and mentioned a number of times how much she liked it while standing and gazing at it so, once I get it back, it will go to her.
