The wool applique table runner came about from an EQ Block Spotlight in August of last year. This took awhile to get transformed from pixels and paper to fiber and thread, but I did enjoy the journey. I love applique, any kind of applique, but my favorites are needle turn with silk and batiks or wool applique with a ton of embroidery embellishments. If you go back and reference my Spotlight submission, there were purple flowers twining out of the top of the arcs and around the sunflowers. However, sometimes “enough is enough” and with the mottled wool and heavy embroidery, more would have been too much. The secret is knowing when to Stop!.
