Years ago I received sample fabrics as a gift from a blue print shop (very old fabric printing technique, called “Blaudruck” in Germany). They lay in my fabric stash for some time, I didn’t know what to do with them. One day I had the idea to sew a square tablecloth from it. So I used EQ7 to design a simple pattern. It was important to me that the individual fabrics showed well, because they were woven from a wide variety of fibers (silk, cotton, old hand-woven linen) that were printed with old wooden models with very different patterns.
I’ve always been a fan of old fabrics, which I’ve helped give a new life in a variety of ways.
