The blocks I chose to edit for this quilt were the Pine Tree Quilt and Breuer – Prairie Style.

I added “swags” to the Pine Tree Quilt block to give the illusion of snow covered branches.

For the Breuer block, I deleted some of the straight lines, added twists in the thin strips and arcs in the wide cross sections.  Then I deleted the wide sections to make the “plaid” block.
