For this design I wanted to create a swirl.  Starting with a circle in the centre and drawing curves out to create a swirl,  I then partitioned or staggered each line to get nodes to draw the pointed blades.  I used the No 13 square in square layout from the quilt layout library adding a number of plain borders and a points out border.
