I started with the Ohio Star Frame 2 block, then redrew it to emphasize the center. I then drew the new center alone as an alternate block. This quilt started out with a main border made up of Ohio Stars. Then, scrolls. Next, flowers. Back to scrolls. Finally, presidents!

Ohio has sent seven-count-’em-seven presidents to the White House. They were all of the same political party (the RIGHT one!). One of Ohio’s mottoes is ‘Mother of Presidents’. Others are the ‘Buckeye State’;'Birthplace of Aviation’; and ‘The Heart of It All’.
