I started with the Berry Scroll Auto Border then did a search for berry applique blocks in the library. They needed some sashing and I like my sashing to be more than strip pieced stripes, the flying geese seemed to do the trick. There seened to be quite a bit of open shace that needed more applique, so I took the block from the border and edited it both th create the corner units as well as the triangle shape that fills the setting triangles. Yes, I could have put more applique in the open squaares, but I also love to do heirloom quilting, so this is where I’d put thata element. Finally, I selected a flying geese border from the Auto borders tab to tie in the sashing. Istated with an Auto Border and ironically, the last thing I addded was another one.
Way too much fun!
