I used the darting birds block from EQ and used the tutorial from the new EQ book to create a block where, from the center and out the blocks are smaller and smaller so it looks like a sphere, a very FUN layout to play with!
Then I went back and colored it in, in red and whites.

For all the persons who asked for the cutting instructions in the previous comnents……I actually went to the designer’s web page, found the pattern and a note that cutting instructions are given for those of us who do not have a cutting machine. I have purchased the pattern…. yeap….. all the instructions are there….. happy cutting everyone!

I found the pattern to download, however, reading the comments and no answers to them leaves me wondering if the PDF file has instructions on the various cutting measures. I do not have a cutting machine, if that what EQ stands for, and do not want to purchase something I have no cutting guides for. Thank you!

I love this darting birds spere! Did you have a pattern, are a genius, or just kept at it till your design board gave you what you wanted. You rock, girl. You outta publish this one, it would sell like ice tea in the summer time! Beautiful!!!! I’m gonna give it my best shot, wish me luck!
