I took this as a three part challenge:
1. the auto borders
2. making a center medallion quilt using a star block with sashing between the parts of the block
3. new design for a breast cancer fundraiser quilt

The biggest challenge was #2–taking the star block, breaking it up, and putting it on point.

I really like the big white triangle areas where some great quilting (especially with words, names, etc.) could go.
