I’ve never tried the Auto Borders before so this was a good learning opportunity. I settled on the Inner Checked/Outer Plain border from the Checked category. I re-did the colouring on the checkerboard so that no two colours touched each other. I had to add two more borders to make the measurements come out properly but I’m sure there’s another way to do that. The block for the quilt centre is Road to California (didn’t we just do a challenge using that block?) from the Classic Pieced > Chains category. I would probably make this up using scrappy reds and whites.
