A number of years ago we also traveled to California and enjoyed touring the wine country.  After several wine tastings we agreed that what we really appreciated was the scenery!  Appliqués were designed with Patchdraw and set on Layer Two of a Custom Layout.  The central panel is overlaid with two Grape Bunch motifs in opposing corners which also spill into the border.
