I originally made this tablerunner for a Mother’s Day gift, using spring colors. The center block was just a marble fabric and I free motion quilted it with a flower design, and I did feathers in the other blocks.
I used a block from the EQ block library, but changed it to get the look I ended up with. For this design, I used a panel print for the center block. I haven’t yet actually sewed this, but I just might have to, I have plenty of leftovers from quilts I’ve made.

I like the versatility of this design – it is very effective here in these colors with this center block panel but your description of it with a spring theme sounds wonderful too!
